Arabic Mike Marina mall has lovely restaurants by its port and riding bikes or going for walks there is always nice; especially at night. I also love Salwa Park & Shaheed Park. They’re both quite nice. Shaheed is quite new but it’s very nicely designed. Salwa park is across from my school so I’ve spent my entire life going there for PE lessons or just to hang after school with my friends. It may be a little run down, but its grass area is beautiful and it has some of the oldest trees in Kuwait (which are PERFECT for climbing). There are also the new museums and the old one that was designed to look like Kuwait streets in the olden days. There’s the opera house. We’ve had some awesome celebrities perform here; I WENT TO SEE STING! The scientific center has some awesome animals to see and learn about, though I don’t recommend the Kuwait Zoo... Those are just a few suggestions. I’m only 13, so I have my entire life to experience more things, but being Kuwaiti, I’ve lived here my entire life, so you should take my word for it when I tell you those places are awesome! That’s all I can think of right now!

I don't know if it's the language barrier or the lake of knowledge of kuwait that I see in people you interview. I mean they make kuwait look so shallow, but I don't blame them because we're not used to speak positively about our country.. I think you're doing a better job explaining life in kuwait than Kuwaitis simply because you are a positive person .. keep up the good work 👍

I used to live in Kuwait (for 6 years) and here’s my take on it: it’s an OK country. I enjoy the shopping, the food and the music. But that’s about it. I don’t enjoy the people. I really really don’t. Of all the Kuwaiti friends I had, only one is humble and kind. I don’t enjoy their attitude towards expatriate workers. They tend to treat us “white people” very well but that doesn’t apply to workers from South-Eastern Asia. I don’t like that they don’t teach their children manners or respect. And finally, I don’t like that the streets are always congested. In essence, I would say DONT visit Kuwait because there’s really not much to do/see. If you enjoy shopping and Arabic culture, head to Dubai.
