First time I’m gonna disagree with Barcaboy regarding Yamal. Lamine is not a “stats” player for me. The goals, assists, dribble will come and go but that threat he possesses and which forces opposition managers and defenders into keying on him is priceless. That’s his aura and many who watch the game (who are not Barca fans) are starting to realize it. I agree that against Girona he wasn’t a stand out from a cerebral sense but he got the counting numbers so the mainstream recognize it but the threat of him harming the defenders never goes away and it seems just like Messi no matter where he is on the pitch he can be deadly.

The narrow pressing heat maps is because lewondowski does not press most of the game. Just jogs around in the center. So the wingers are having to press into his areas and then chasing back to their areas… If we had a striker who adequately pressed he own area it would balance our press collectively…

I never understood the people majority comparing Pedri to Iniesta. I always felt he was much more closer to Xavi. Also Xavi was unlucky but too rigid with his system. He tried to fit the players into his system rather than making a system suiting the players he had. That's the only difference of Flick and Xavi. Xavi will surely have it in future with more exposure and experience in Europe. The Unlucky Part is that, if Bernal was 2years older. Xavi would have been a success for a little longer. But in the long time we needed the upgrade and Glad Flick Came. Just didn't like the way Xavi was treated and sacked by the board, when he himself resigned first 🗿

I think he’s a mix of both. He can control a game like Xavi, slow things down, spray passes around, but his close control, ability in tight areas is crazy. He’s probably not as good a dribbler as iniesta, but he’s still quite good. I think he played as a winger for Las Palmas on occasions

I think it’s quite normal for wingers to lose the ball 12 - 18 times in a game in our system. They’re the one’s to try things, and it will fail sometimes. I remember Dembele used to lose the ball like 26 times a game. Also Lamine’s performance was not his best, but it was still at a great level. If Lewandowski was clinical he would’ve added an assist to his 2 goals. Lastly, I think in the first half his pressing and closing down was relentless. He only slowed that down when we already had a comfortable lead

Firstly ❤ being able to enjoy barca matches again under flick the pressing,fitness,stamina to keep it up for the whole match and not collapse after 60/70 minute ahem xavi 👀 is what impresses me the most,my only concern apart from injuries to our players of course is how our system will fare against a team with fast forwards who have the ability to time their runs and exploit our high line but we will cross that bridge when it comes to it i guess plus flick reminds me of a coach who isnt afraid to change or adapt to different circumstances unlike ahem a rigid and predictable xavi 👀 no offense legend as a player 100% and big respect for having the balls to take on the barca manager role 👏 and was an absolute disgrace and embarrassment his whole exit process 😳🤮🤡👎 but i for one am not missing xavi in the dugout in the slightest and thoroughly enjoying this new flick era long may it continue forca barca ❤💙
