Goes to show these young kids with low GPAs in high-school are not dumb - simply unmotivated. Their lack of motivation is absolutely by design.

For sure. I had a very bad gpa because I didn't care about school at all. From middle throughout hs my mother had never seen my reports cards, she wasn't on me about not doing homework and never really cared about how I was doing in school. I eventually dropped because I needed to many credits to graduate so I dropped out and got my GED. Looking back I feel if my mom had showed some kind of support or cared at all I think I would've done better but who really knows. That was 20+ years ago, I now have an 11 year old that has strsight a's. I help her with homework, I encourage her I help motivate her and I support her as much as humanly possible.

I'll never forget watching a week zero or week one game of Louisville playing when Lamar was a freshman. The announcers talked about how the team was only able to run a limited amount of plays because Lamar didn't know but maybe a quarter of the playbook. Unlike with how you think it's a crazy and neat thing, it sticks out to me that he can struggle with the mental aspect of the game. I think this is the main thing that holds him back, along with his streaky passing ability. Playoff time those little things matter all that much more.
@grizzly5994
@grizzly5994 9 ай бұрын
@@timothywright567Lamar’s processing and IQ has been seen and is on track with peyton manning a but unlike peyton in high school Lamar didn’t have a playbook and was only introduced to one at louisville and that’s really the only thing that’s held him back
@grizzly5994
@grizzly5994 9 ай бұрын
@@timothywright567the only streaky part of his passing aswell is his deep ball he can hit anyone in the short and middle part of the field but since the ravens don’t really take deep shots like other teams he hasn’t be able to develop that part of his game

@@JamahSassafras-ke6sf He didn't just sign a record breaking deal. He has the Ravens bent over. The next time negotiations come around. 1) He has a no trade clause. When those cap hits get to 70 million, the team will have no choice but to extend him and they will basically be in a cut him and start over or bow down and pay situation. They'd have to start over because the dead money will be astronomical. 2) If they can manage the 70 million dollar cap hits late in the deal, they are also stuck with a clause that says they can not franchise tag him again. So, in year 5 they will either be forced to pay or let him walk with a 3rd round comp pick coming their way the following year.

Most athletes do communication. College athletics, you eat, sleep, breathe sports and class is something you squeeze in to stay eligible. So you don't want to overwhelm your best player with coursework that will take them from what actually makes money for the school.
