Well.. the last time I caused chaos in a video it did well, so we're back with another one.
Lamar Jackson is arguably the greatest dual threat of QB time, that's something everyone knows, but what nobody wants to admit is a scary truth about the two time MVP that makes him a nightmare for NFL defenses for the foreseeable future.
Today, we'll investigate how this scary truth came to be through the challenges that Lamar Jackson went through and how he's overcome every obstacle in his life including the likes of Michael Vick, Cam Newton, or even Patrick Mahomes....

@@-PURPLE-HEAD huh? Good bye love. Start your franchise with Lamar and win some bogus ass MVPs 🤭. Both years he won them they were a playoff team with out him starting hundly or whomever. He knows it and they know it. Last year you take Purdy or CMC off the niners and they don't make the playoffs. Take mahomes off the chiefs well the same. Take tua or or just one of their receivers off that dolphins team and they aren't a playoff team. The ravens woulda been without Lamar. Truth hurts some times kid but doesn't change the fact that they are just that. Facts and bogus ass MVPs. Us real NFL fans know why he got that last year. 😉

@@rosscourtney9913 So this sentence structure is ass, so I don't know exactly what you're trying to say, but if you're saying that Lamar's O-line was actually good, then you, like many others have fallen victim to the Lamar effect. Wherein, Lamar's ability to avoid contact keeps passing plays alive longer than they reasonably should, thus making the O-line look far more competent than it actually was. There were way too many games where the pocket collapsed like that's what they were paid to do, but Lamar managed to sense contact and avoid it, and make one of those crazy Mahomes type throws.

Since the day Lamar was drafted there is only THREE qb's that have won a Superbowl. Brady, Mahomes, and Stafford, that's it! Not a single one of the other qb's have won a ring and yet Lamar is the only one that gets dragged for it everytime someone wants to make their Top 10 current qb's list. It's just weird at this point that every other qb is judged by what they've done so far BUT Lamar is judged by what he hasn't done so far!
@_Graham99_
@_Graham99_ 6 ай бұрын
It’s because none of the other qbs that haven’t won a superbowl have multiple MVPs, fluke MVPs or not. Like mahomes, Lamar came into a pretty good team situation. Ravens have always had a good defense, great oline, good rbs, Andrews, and a solid receiver room. He’s never had a bad team contrary to what ravens fans want you to believe. He has the accolades and regular season success, but come playoff time he’s ass, plain and simple. He’s terrible in the playoffs and until he can get over that hump and actually get to the Super Bowl he’s going to get harsher criticism than other qbs who are good but haven’t hit benchmarks mahomes, Brady, stafford and Lamar have. He would probably get less criticism if he was in a situation like Allen and he played great in the playoffs but every time he had a chance to win, his team fucks him over and he falls short but that’s not the case with Lamar. He’s usually a big part of the reason the ravens don’t have much playoff success.
@eduardopena5893
@eduardopena5893 6 ай бұрын
Then maybe stop talking about him so much and talk about these other QBs more and they'd get dragged, too. You all just want to run your mouths about how great Lamar is. Well, until he wins a Lombardi Trophy and keeps putting up pedestrian passing numbers, you can miss me with all that talk.

It’s because of the fact that he has multiple MVP’s, something his contemporaries outside of Mahomes don’t have. It’s also because of the fact that he plays terribly in the playoffs. Absolutely awful. It isn’t unfair. You don’t get to be praised and given the highest possible accolades in your respective industry but be held the standards of a journeyman.

Truth is football is a team sport. You can’t even win the MVP as a quarterback if your receivers keep dropping the ball. Ask Pat. Think about it this way. - Peyton’s 2nd Super Bowl win was a 90% Defensive effort. He couldn’t throw the ball 10 yards. He immediately retired as a 2x Superbowl champion. No one cares about his abysmal stats in that 2nd game. Winning matters. - In the playoff game against the Chiefs, yes Lamar wasn’t great. However he didn’t fumble the potential game winning ball at the goal line. However, I get it he is still supposed to find a way to win. They have King Henry now… this ain’t fair. All in all. He deserves both criticism and praise… I mean he did win the MVP… again.

I have watched football for a long time. I can count on one hand how many times I have seen a QB with the pocket awareness that Lamar has. And I am not a Ravens fan. It is just a fact. The dude has an INCREDIBLE ability to feel the pressure coming and move around the pocket to buy time. He has great touch on his passes downfield too. If you took his legs away and put him in for example the Vikings offense which is a high level, comprehensive passing scheme, he would still thrive. I think he has a 4000 yard 30 touchdown passing season in Monken's 2nd year offense this year.
@TrillVilla5
@TrillVilla5 6 ай бұрын
I feel like people ignore the coordinator that he had for the first 3-4 seasons of his career. G-Ro built a great rushing attack but he didn’t develop himself at the same rate Lamar needed to as a passer. His passing scheme was lackluster at best but Lamar still managed to dominate teams as a passer despite defenses knowing the plays they were going to run. You can’t blame the Quarterback when the coordinator is being out coached. Sure he’s made his own mistakes but definitely hasn’t been the only reason why the team hasn’t had playoff success.

He may have good awareness. But my problem with Lamar is that he isn't a good decision maker. He's under pressure, and trying to at least get a few yards. It works sometimes, but he has to know when to just throw it away and now he's getting sacked for no reason

@@freeindeed8416 By a measurement that measures accuracy of his passes, and not something that measures completion percentage. So now he's got a lot of backups and rookies that will be manning starting jobs. Maybe they are good enough, maybe not. We'll find out. Zay Flowers is going to get a big contract in the future if he keeps progressing the way people think. That's not going to happen in Baltimore. They have an elite and expensive defense. When your QB is a RB and carries the ball more times than the RB, that tends to happen. That play style was by design for him. Guess what happens when you have a QB that runs a ton, you pass less. So you don't have 1,000 receivers when your QB is busy running over 100 times a year. When your QB isn't great at throwing the long ball and can only hit is TE consistently, you aren't going to be making a lot of big plays. It also doesn't help that two years in a row he missed nearly a quarter of the season with an injury. He also had 2 1,000 yard receivers. The year Hollywood Brown went over 1,000, Mark Andrews had 1300.

Damn watched the whole video to find out what's the SCARY TRUTH NOBODY WANTS TO ADMIT only to find out that the scary truth is that "his greatness is inevitable". Feel disappointed, nice video if seen as a career recap but I thought this would be more of an analysis type video.

@@paulozhan Honestly, I respect you for calling me out. When I finished the video it was bothering me a little that I didn’t really go in more in depth at the end there and it was kinda underwhelming for my standards, but at that point it was uploaded and gaining traction so I had to just eat it. My next few are gonna be incredibly well detailed and full of information, because I’m not gonna make that mistake twice. Either way I really appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback and for watching ❤️

@@GridironFTBL not at all! I still think it was a great video and it was nicely put together and edited. It's just that I was trying to find videos on film analysis deconstructing Lamar's passes and designated runs. Wanted to see if that scary truth would be something like "with both TEs available in Andrews and Likely and second year deep threat Zay Flowers maturing his game, Lamar has what it takes to take his passing game to the next level." In the years that Brady played with both Hernandez and Gronk, he had the two seasons with the highest passing yards of his entire career (until his first year in Tampa eclipsed that). Just different expectations, not saying I was disappointed meaning that it was bad or low quality 😆

No hate for Lamar, the man is first ballot HoF no question about it. Regular season Dynamo. But he does come up small in the playoffs. Like in that Buffalo game before the concussion, he did throw a pick 6 in the end zone. To be a 2 time MVP, held to such high regards, 2-4 in the playoffs, 6 passing TDs with 6 Ints. It's not good. I want to see him win one, but i personally don't think he's a good playoff QB
