Love your videos and your tips! I am the #1 of 6 kids, so I really get the 6 sisters... I just have one brother, he’s the baby. LOL. I have a tip for you - I also use my IP for making veggie broth. I save all the ends, like carrot ends, snap pea ends, tomato ends, celery ends, etc. (not cukes or potatoes though). I stick ‘em in a bag in the freezer. When it gets full enough, I put them in the IP and add enough water just to cover. I put them on for 45 minutes until they are basically mush. Then I strain out the veggies, and also squeeze all the juice out of them. By that time, they are good for the compost, AND I’ve gotten the broth as a second use from the ends that most people throw away. Give it a try! And Keep On Cookin’ !

@@51andhappy44 I did give away one Crock Pot, a rice cooker and a bamboo steamer... but the George Forman stays. :-) The Geo. Forman is great for cooking bacon without a mess. Grilled veggies. Pancakes (mine has a griddle plate). And frozen boneless chicken breasts in 8 minutes. I also kept my electric tea kettle. I use it instead of the Instant Pot for boiled eggs. I could never get them just right in the Instant Pot - i always overcooked them. They came out with the green ring around the yolk. The tea kettle is perfect. It boils water and turns off. 8 minutes later perfect hard boiled eggs.

Love your videos. Here is a cost saving tip for you. Costco or Sam's sells individual popup foil sheets that work perfect for wrapping burritos. At first I thought they were too expensive however I found I was using so much foil tearing pieces off the roll of foil. I believe there are like 500 sheets of foil. We make breakfast burritos in our home and we make a batch about every 10 days. We bought the last box of foil sheets about 3 months ago and we have only used less than half. They are very convenient. Give them a try.

For refried beans it much easier to pour them into a blender and in a minute you've got perfect consistency. Then to make it traditional style, make sure to add about a Tbsp of lard or bacon grease for every 2 cups of beans (yes, yes, it's not so healthy but that's how it's done in Mexico ;?).

I’m new to the Instant Pot. The first thing I did was hard boiled eggs @ 666, peeling was a nightmare, not one egg was easy! Maybe the 666 was the issue. 9 eggs and they didn’t cook evenly. I believe I have figured out what I will do differently. I have been watching your videos for a couple of weeks. You seem to have dishes I want to make, and I also I like the fact that you get to the point. Great video. I haven't tried beans, yet, but certainly will now because you made it look so easy. (I like the TX shaped cutting board.) As for popcorn, I've not had very good results. The IP leaves too many 'widow' kernels . . . I'd guess close to a fourth don't pop. I use coconut oil and the saute setting and make sure all kernels are oiled and spread across the bottom. Any tips for getting more of the kernels to pop? Will definitely try the strawberry jam, too. Keep up the great work!!!

I use my insta-pot to make home-made chicken stock. After I roast and carve a whole chicken, I throw the carcass in the pot with about 4 cups of water. Run the insta-pot for about 30 minutes, vent it, then let it cool for about another 10 minutes. I strain the stock into a fat separator, then transfer the stock to a 1-qt mason jar. Leave a little airspace at the top (about 1/4 inch) and put a lid on it, and stick it in the fridge. The warm stock heats the air in the jar enough to form a vacuum seal, but I always store mine in the fridge to be on the safe side.

Hi. I'm half Korean. You don't always need to "wash" your rice. I just wash it once and cook. The more starch the sticker the rice is (depends on rice too). If I want fluffy rice I wash it 3-4 times. If I buy quality rice I don't wash it at all. This is what I learned from a Korean mother. You basically wash the rice to get rid of bugs and lose the starch to make fluffy rice.
