📢NEW UPDATED VIDEO on 10 THINGS YOU MUST HAVE IN YOUR RX8📢 👉💯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHS7gGWqp5hsh8U

04 RX8 GT comes with tow hooks that screw into the front and the rear. There is a little plastic panel on the grill that pops out to reveal a giant screw hole. Same for the rear. The tow hooks are in the trunk where the tire iron is.

Im glad i found this, cuz i always have stuff in my rx8 in case i need. Emergency oil, jumper cables, scan tool, tire iron, and i sacrifice the trunk space and weight for a full size spare and extra battery. I also leave the factory tow hook screwed into the front bumper and rear one ready in the trunk. I love rx8s but you always have to be a little more prepared

Instead of the cables, I went for a LiPo battery starter.. it has saved me on many other cars. Plus it allows us RX8 owners in the remote eventuality of a flooded engine.. if you are alone and you can't get any help from another car with a potential battery dying in the cranking process :)

I've owned an RX8 for several years and have put over 30,000 miles on it. I can't say I have found myself needing any of these things in that time to the extent of keeping them in the car, or at all.
@thechristiancuber27162 жыл бұрын
I daily drove an rx8 for about 2 years and I’ve needed almost all of these things.
@arborinfelix7 жыл бұрын
Like always, it is a very nice video. Instead of jumper cable you also can take a portable car Jump starter which is basically a jumper cable with an attached battery. Of course bit more expensive than a jumper cable but in that case you don't depend on other peoples mercy :)
@Drivenbymadness7 жыл бұрын
mehmet rasim inceoglu That is an extremely helpful device, but I thing the big price gap is a deal breaker for many people. but personally, the fact that I don't depend on others is more precious than money 😊👌 That's why I want to become my.own mechanic 😊
@reidhauenstein13907 жыл бұрын
mehmet rasim inceoglu that's the truth, I bought one two weeks before my car started having issues with the battery and it saved me so many times
@kurtd82636 жыл бұрын
Yeah I bought one of these cos my rx8 had a weird battery draining issue that the auto electricians couldn't resolve. Changed the battery twice but still have the same issue. If the car isnt started for x2 days it goes flat. I liked my rx8 for the 1.5 years of ownership but the oil n fuel consumption is beyond. Mines for sale now for £800 but no one wants it. Shame because it's a really nice car to drive but just too thirsty.

al capone The obdII is really a life saver, I get a lot of dummy codes (low cat efficiency, miscommunication with ecm ect.) I highly recommend the Dash Command app. It tells you catalyst temps, coolant, intake, avg. gas mileage, and soooo much more. but there's a tip that I've learned, don't put the obdII in before you start the car. It will sometimes throw a random useless cel.

@Hugh_Hunt6 жыл бұрын
I picked up a "mazda first aid" bag on ebay, as well as small "medicine bottles" from the science surplus store which are rotor shaped. The bad holds 4 bottles, 2 are for engine oil, and 2 are for gas oil. I just replace the empties with filled bottles after 2 fill ups. So I always have perfectly proportioned engine oil and gas oil. Pull up to pump, pop hood, truck and fuel door. Pour gas oil in, begin filling up, pour engine oil in, throw everything back in truck, gas stops; and you are off. No fuss fill ups.
@Hugh_Hunt6 жыл бұрын
First gen Renesis engines do not have enough oil injectors, pre-mixing helps with apex seal longevity. That is why in the second gen of the engine, Mazda added more oil injectors; not enough injectors was the cause of premature engine failure and the bad reliability namesake. Pre-mixing is the cure.
@Hugh_Hunt6 жыл бұрын
I never said, not enough oil, because it does have to do with the location of the oil injector(s). The first gen has just the center oil injector opposed to the 3 points with the second gen; so clearly Mazda agrees there was a problem. And of course Mazda does not recommend pre-mixing, you will not pass emissions while pre-mixing, a manufacturer cannot recommend doing something to fail emissions. The only thing you can hurt with pre-mixing is the CAT. Which will go bad quickly without pre-mixing because of the heat from the exhaust and the massive amount of fuel the old maps used to dump into the system. The engine is designed to burn oil, an additional 1 oz per gallon will not RAPIDLY speed up any wear on the exhaust system. And who said anything about tampering with the OMP? But if you wanted to... replacing the existing oil metering system with an aftermarket one that meters in clean oil, instead of used oil, is actually a smart thing...

Bubba Brown Great job ;) but he first aid kit is required by law, that's why its not on the list. I use my phones Flashlight, cause its strong enough, but as I said in the description, this is a list that is specifically connected to the rx8's requirements, so its not a survival one 😊

I if I may make a suggestion, purchase a kinetic line to pull you out of trouble. Kinetic tow lines absorb the stupidity when asking an idiot to pull you out of a light oops situation. Been in that situation more times than I care, and trust me when I say, having a stranger yank your line is asking for trouble. Let alone someone you know, which is worse.
@gamingmadesimple55107 жыл бұрын
lol I suggested the Bluetooth obd2 plug in like a year ago to a guy.. I use my all the time and monitor my temp with it ps. you should look at getting dashcommand app on your phone for the obd2 it's only like 3$ for the full version and you can make your own custom set of gauges to monitor any sensor that your car has from intake to exhaust temps and even the maf and a/f ratios

okay nevermind, I'm a dumb@ss... I plugged it, but not *all the way*. sigh. Any recommended dash displays? I started my RX-8 adventure with a faulty thermostat, that almost killed the car, so now I have an Engine Coolant Temperature display, and with warnings. :D What else could be useful?

Straw Hats well we can't really tell just from these 2 infos that its used and has 120k miles. Thats like asking if it seems ok to buy a house that is used and has 4 walls. check and ask the seller about EVERYTHING in that car. If it had a rebuild, what oil did he use, how often was it changed, is the compression good, if theres any problems with electronics, does every button work, does the AC work, how was he treating the car, how was he driving it, did he have any problems with the engine, does it start right away or does it choke, when was the last time he changed the spark plugs and cables, does it have rust or dents and so on...

@RotaryPokemon7 жыл бұрын
Synthetic oil is the worst oil you can put in a rotary engine because it burns the Apex Seal.... You should NEVER put a Synthetic oil in a rotary engine because of that. Yes, Mazda oil is "Ok" but it's not optimal, the best oil I could suggest you is Brad Penn 10W-40.
