I believe the rear section is not stock. Someone just cut off the tips that came on the exhaust system. It's a racing beat muffler back there or something. They pointed that out during the inspection of the undercarriage

As a fellow RX-8 owner, I'm really enjoying this series! It'd be so awesome to see an RX-8 built around absolute handling ability, to the point of doing stuff like custom spring rates and revalved dampers, adjustable sway bars, bushings, chassis braces, and all those other little things that very few people go to the trouble of doing! I'm hoping to build mine that way, it just takes a lot longer when I'm working with a fraction of the cash flow that a well known company like you guys have. These cars are world class in terms of cornering ability, even against modern cars, and to see one taken all the way to the limits in that aspect would be amazing!
