i had a 2 car block garage for years, converted it into a photo studio/office - just insulating it turned 120F days inside into 72! Never got hot in there again. Added heat... New building i've yet to get fully insulated...but i put in a minisplit for heat and a/c ($800 off amazon). I can get 20F temp rise in an hour - so a 30f day and it's 50 inside. HUGE difference when working on something in the winter! my lift, new, 9k lb, new, german made, in 2022 $3150 delivered. Worth every dime! lighting YES! I went with 8' LED lights, 10 of them. hung 12' high. WONDERFUL! $210 for everything, amazon again! And run off a light switch. I have a few 'decor' items and plans to theme paint and decorate. Bad side...working on cars, like sanding/grinding/welding, etc puts thick dust all over everything everywhere!
