Even though Blathers makes it clear that he takes great care of the fish and even the bugs (wich he is terrified of). Not to mention they would likely live longer in Blathers care if he is taking good care of them like he says. Also they would have had to dominate 5 animals to Tom Nook abd yeah when Blathers came they could have just given him fossils but then them pestering Blathers makes even less seance since there would be next to nothing in there. ON TOP OF THAT considering that they say you shouldn't fish they would have had to A. break there own rule (which considering its peta that is vary believable) or B. only give Tom Nook bugs wich would make saying "empty the tanks" no sense since the only thing in the tanks would be water rocks and sand. Edit so they also said don't catch bugs so either way they broke there own rule

Also notice how all the tanks are themed after the fish's environment? River fish are in tanks where water is constantly running in one direction, pond fish are literally in a pond just made of glass, deep water fish have huge tanks resembling the infinity of the ocean and its depth; it all just fits. Insects aren't enclosed in boxes either, they can fly and walk away if they want to. All their enclosures are just mimics of their natural habitat!

I just barely got a switch lite after my mom and my brother have gotte theirs which means that only two of my siblings are sharing a switch but before that having 5 HUGE animal crossing fans on one switch was a nightmare. The main thing I don’t like about New Horizons is that, apparently, you can’t even back up your island on an SD card, so if something happens to your switch, or it gets stolen, you lose everything. Can someone who is good at organizing petitions please make a petition to allow us to backup our save data on SD cards like you could do with every game on most of Nintendo’s previous consoles (like the Wii and GameCube)? We know they can do it because they have in the past, so there’s no excuse for them not to do it.

When I got my own switch in June (my sister let me use hers for years, but recently moved out) I was DEVASTATED that I had to start Splatoon 2 from scratch. I had over 300 hours of game play, A or above rankings, my personal holy grail weapons and clothes, and had completed most of the solo game (completionist, that is) So when I saw that they finally updated ACNH to have cloud save, I was very happy. Not hard of hearing but I may have an auditory problem that causes me to sometimes hear gibberish instead of actual words and no matter how often I ask someone to repeat themselves unless they slow down completely or write it down I won't be able to hear them. Talking slow and clear helps alot but captions are WAYYYYYYY better

Justjello If you’re referring to APD, I have that as well (on top of damage to my ears themselves) and even though it isn’t often referred to as it (mostly due to the correlation to “learning disabilities”), Auditory Processing Disorder is a form of hearing loss, and you absolutely would be considered hard of hearing, the damage is just in your brain rather than your ear. It’s a rough time, and captions absolutely are important for ppl who are Deaf, ppl with APD, ppl with ADHD, people with hyperacusis or sensory sensitivity, etc... Captions are just such a simple way to make media a million times easier to consume for So Many People and I wish it was more common and expected !!!

I'm lucky that I have my own Switch but it honestly feels like Nintendo are trying too hard to stop hackers and as a result they neglect their other players. No cloud saves was to stop cheating but most hacking clients have a way to back up a save. One island per switch is probably also to prevent cheating but the way they did it just doesn't make sense. When building the store, Timmy tells the second player to ask the first player what to do and will not accept donations of materials. Nintendo are trying so hard to stop hackers, they're forgetting about the other players.

NH not having cloud save straight up was a huge pain in the ass bc when I got my copy of the game before my Switch came in (dang world shortages) and i played on my sisters switch..
