5 Times Bellatrix Actually Cared

I know what you’re thinking, when was Bellatrix Lestrange ever nice or care about anything? When was she ever decent, what kind of video is this going to be where I’m highlighting times that Bellatrix Lestrange was really cared about something. Well look, we all know the kind of witch Bellatrix was, she genuinely enjoyed being horrible, cold and callous but yes I’ve had a flick through the books and I’ve managed to find 5 times that she was nice and cared, I still cant believe I’m making such a video but it’s gonna be interesting to see where Bellatrix did some, well you could say positive things, anyway lets dive in it and take a look.

From what I read in the books, Tom Riddle changed his name to Voldemort because his father was a muggle, so he wasn't a pure blood. I wonder how different things would have been if it had got out that he wasn't a pure blood.

I find t ironic that Bellatrix was so devoted to Voldemort as he was a half blood. I'm not sure how his background as Tom Riddle was unknown to all of his followers, or that Dumbledore never spoke of it to anyone.

I'm pretty sure Voldemort never gave up his identity, only claiming he is descendant of Slytherin himself. Voldemort never cared about blood purity, only power and immortality. He did hate muggles tho. Blood purist propaganda was just his way to mobilize the most passionate community that would help him fight war against muggles. Evidence for that is having Snape as one of his top ranking officers despite being half-blood. I think if some powerful mudblood like Hermione wanted to join his ranks, he would find her skills useful and would allow her to join. Even if other Death Eaters protested, no one would dare to speak openly against it. However, his lineage could and should have been used against him. Informational warfare style, letting his followers know he is not pure-blood.

Is five a joke? It is Narcissa who goes to Snape to ask for help. Bellatrix walks after her telling her she should not go, that Snape is not trustworthy and that telling him the plan is treason to the dark lord. She also says that Narcissa should be proud to sacrifice her son. In the books she even grabs Narcissa and tries to stop her and Narcissa uses a spell free herself. It is only after she realizes Snape already knows about the plan that she stops trying to stop Narcissa asking Snape for help. How exactly is she protecting Draco? The only positive thing you can say is that she didn't use violence to stop Narcissa who unlike her cared about Draco.

In the movies she says: "He can't be trusted, so she really doesn't want Narcissa to go. In the books it is even more clear. She grabs Narcissa on the way and Narcissa uses a spell to get free. She also says during that encounter that Narcissa shouldn't tell Snape about the plan. In my opinion this shows she is trying to stop Narcissa and didn't agree to come in order to help her.@@TheRealBullyMaguire

So it’s not her childhood trauma per say but instead her evilness and instability comes from the fact that the black family were known for inbreeding and as such it resulted in mental instability because of the genetic closeness and its widely known members of this family have had a history of mental instability that’s why she’s so evil sure her upbringing had a small role in further developing her mental insanity by instilling their beliefs but ultimately it was family genetics which resulted in her being the way she is

Sure he might have some very shallow feelings of affection for bellatrix but I would barely consider that actual care. She is useful to him and when she loses her usefulness he would probably discard her for someone else. As for risk keep in mind Voldemort at that time was 1. Arrogant and absolutely believed he could have killed everyone there and get away before anyone found out about his existence. 2. Angry that the prophecy he wanted was destroyed. Something that took months of planning with even his most powerful servants failing him. As a result of this Voldemort was probably not thinking straight. (Keep in mind during this Bellatrix was begging for mercy and warning him that dumbledore was at the ministry. With Voldemort telling her to be quiet and ignoring what she was saying) 3. Probably low on followers he saw as genuinely loyal considering he was just resurrected a year ago and had admonished most of his inner circle for abandoning him.A Dark Lord needs some kind of army to execute his plans and extend his reach. Bellatrix was one of the few followers he had left that he could count on being loyal to him and not abandon him when it was convenient (and a very competent/powerful witch to boot). The whole department of mysteries raid was kind of a shit show once the prophecy was destroyed, but considering the large amount of high priority targets that were there, he might as well come and try to salvage what he could (Bellatrix) or try to kill some of those targets (Dumbedore or Harry)
