Got teary eyed at 3:05. This is my second year with my son at home he did virtual learning 1st yr and today he started home schooling with me and was so excited that I was going to be his teacher. I went to school pregnant and worked full-time, I felt like i missed 10 years of his life. I finally have a chance to be with my baby and teach him, we are blessed financially now and I am given time to finally raise him.

Absolutely loved this! September was our first month ever of homeschooling and I absolutely agree with your second point. I’ve realized that building our relationship or also, helping them regulate emotions, has been so important. Because if the emotional vibe is off, if we’re mad or frustrated, the learning stops no matter how much you try to force it. Great tips! ❤️

Erin, I am so grateful to have found you, as with so many other parents who have commented! Although we can often just read the comments as comments, it’s beautiful to realize that there are real people, amazing lives being formed and established and blessed. People trying to find meaning and live out their lives as they feel led to and they are drawn to your channel to do so. There is something unique about you and your channel and I love your heart for what you do. It is so obvious that you are genuine and have a love for not only your beautiful family but everything else that God has called you to. With much gratitude in my heart and blessings to you.

How do you divide yourself or prepare for FOUR kids in a week? How do you have time for house things? This is like your full time job or do you have something for you, hobby, work or just family and home?
@TheEclecticHomeschooler Жыл бұрын
There are definitely things that I’m not able to stay on top of as much as I’d like as far as housework, being in top of getting the kids to help is vital for that component. Now that my kids are getting older, I do have more time for myself, and making these videos is one of my hobbies! 😉 Most of what we do for school is pretty open and go and independent so I don’t really have to do much prep work. It probably takes me about 45 minutes on the weekend to make my kids planning pages for the week and then do most things on their own. I have this video that shows what a normal day is like to see how it works with 4 kids. How I Homeschool 4 Kids | Our Homeschool Routine kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6awgqyKn7Ggbck

Thank you so much@@TheEclecticHomeschooler I am sure becoming a follower, your information is really valuable. Thank you 🙏. I am a new homeschool mom of just 7 years old 2 weeks ago twin boys. I needed this so much because the first day was good and day 2 that I watched this awesome video was so not good. They have a really hard time listening. I am trying to make it fun and learning. After we came back in the house from a 2 1/2 hour break on a beautiful day I got out a sight word race game and it did not go well. Do you have any videos on 1st grade work? By the way I love your log cabin!
@TheEclecticHomeschooler3 жыл бұрын
I don't have anything specifically about 1st grade. I'm really big on just working from where you child is at, regardless of "grade" level, so we don't always have curriculum that lines up with grade level. I think that's really an individual thing for each child. Blessings!
