I know mate. I will be doing as well. It’s a cycling channel so guess as long as it’s 2 wheels it’s fine 😂

With respect, the only reason why you have to eat "little and often" is because your body is not using the body's preferred primary energy, which is fat. You are unable to do this because your body can not access nor produce sufficient levels of ketones. Having to eat carbs often while on the bike proves that your metabolism is not working in an optimal state. Constantly spiking blood sugars will illicit an insulin response, which is why, we as a nation are in the midst of a diabetic and obesity epidemic. Reducing carbs, processed foods and sugar is massively beneficial in so many ways. Its also good for endurance , I did an 80 miler on my gravel bike yesterday, I ate a zero carb meal consisting of bacon and eggs before my ride and then nothing else on the ride, except coffee , some electrolytes and water. I was out for 7 hours including rests. A total calorie burn of over 4300 calories. I did not hit the wall or bonk. I had lots of energy. I didn't need to eat any carbs every 45 minutes to an hour. My body is in a state of ketosis, it is running on its preferred and primary energy source, fat. Either dietary or my own stored fat. The human body is capable of going for long periods while performing athletic and physically taxing endeavours. You are wrong about nutrition. I am a Carnivore eater. I have never been healthier. I often go out for 40 mile rides in a fasted state. My inflammation and recovery has massively improved. IMO, the way you are eating is not healthy and could lead to diabetes or pre diabetes. The issue is not just your blood sugar levels. I would get your HbA1c tested. Before discovering the ketogenic lifestyle I used to do the same as you with food. Its not good as the ore times you spike insulin the more damage and inflammation is occurring in your body. Look into the amazing work of ultra-endurance expert, Professor Tim Noakes who is world leading expert in keto diets in sport. Also check out professor Ben Bikman on the dangers of carb-heavy diets. I do not mean to preach but I know you are incorrect and misguided as I was once. Im a 51-year-old block from Lancashire. Please do some of your own research. I was pre diabetic & I didn't even know it. Doctors don't help. They only offer drugs. I fixed myself.

Thank you for your informed comment. It’s an interesting subject the keto diet. I have tried it before but for my style of ridding and being a heavy rider I couldn’t get to grips with it I kept bonking as the effort I put out on big climbs is a lot. I’ve recently had my bloods analysed and everything was at normal levels with no signs of diabetes. As I said at the beginning of the video this is what I do and works for me. Just for reference though when I’m not cycling I eat pretty good wholesome nutrition food and probably 70% of the food I eat is unprocessed. Have a great day ❤️

With all due respect - that's not a 'for all' theory, especially for vegan / plant based diets (a lot of the best ultra-runners and ultra-cyclists are vegan). Even the lead nutritionist for Team EF Education says the easiest thing for anyone to eat is 'cake icing'. I did 8 days in a row last year, averaging 142 miles a day just eating 'food' - and could have continued indefinitely. Since turning plant based, I also have never been fitter, or indeed healthier.
