I appreciate that these aren't like "learn colour theory" or anything, they're actual lazy tips

Good to know I managed to achieve my goal!

as someone who struggles with rendering art & having so many layers, this was perfect. thank you for relating to this and for giving easy realistic solutions to us lazy artists

I know the pain! Whatever the reason may be, sometimes it is hard to stay focused on a single drawing for a long time...

I love all the tips, I also use them for my art too. Oh, I also have another tip, which is using texture layers. It usually makes the drawing more traditional, like a sketchbook/paper texture kinda way. ❤

Oh that's totally a great idea!! I always forget about textures 😅 I should definitely include that when I make another one of these videos

One more thing. Another way to make a line art more interesting is by using brushes with different textures, I'm trying it right now and it's making a REALLY BIG of a difference
@BlueCocoaArt14 күн бұрын
That's so true! I didn't even think about it, but yeah the brushes can make such a big difference when it comes to the over all aesthetic/mood/vibe of a drawing!

A thing I like to do when it comes to the shading part is that for every part I do shading I use one specific color on a multiply layer and lower the opacity so it doesn't look strange. It's a bit more tiring but better than using different colors to each part like a did before. And also good video, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who has problem with laziness 😅

Ohh yeah I still remember back in the day before I knew there are different layer types and opacity sliders I also used to colour pick every shadow colour separately it was such a pain 😭😭

i struggle a lot with coloring outlines where the characters prominent color is black tho. I dont make the black fully black, more like faded dark purple-ish of sort, so the outline around that color must be somewhat darker to make it visible, but then the outline basically looks almost fully black, not even brightening the outline makes it look better... so in the end i always end up adding each part of outline its own color depending on what the color enviroment it hat, basically nitpicking it which takes me like 5x longer to finish... >

That's exactly where colour theory can mess with our perception of colours! Also been there done that 😅 especially tedious when all I had was a mouse...

The more I watch tutorials and tips ect the more it makes me want to swap from Krita to Procreate....
@BlueCocoaArt13 күн бұрын
Procreate is very limiting in its abilities but it has pretty much everything I need. What I personally love the most about it is how intuitive it is. Most other art programs are primarily designed for desktop use and then ported to tablets with none/very little adjustments to the UI/UX. However the worst part about procreate is that the larger your canvas is, the less layers you can have and the fact that if you rotate/liquify something you drew it WILL get blurry or pixelated.
