Jika rig for deeper waters with heavy cover, big softbaits, even people use that rig for perch, it works for pike, just put some weight on split ring or even or snap lock (that weight on ewg hook dont mind, its for balance of lure) 👌

I have 3m Biltemas heavy spinning ROD with 9kg nylon going to a that short "metal thingy line" and a crankbait / weedless spinner. Started fishing 2 years ago for a couple of hours once in a month and my record Pike was around 8-10kg 😃, nothing too expensive but works great.

Use the offset hook on saturday with a SG goby 20cm, pike almost took its head off. Not a fan of them hooks but will try them again next time because its a realy weedy area. BUT i have done some stingers now that will work, single hook on its back. A photofish i orderd and a dragon i got from kanalgratis wish me luck 😂

I don't know about in Europe, but in USA most of the hooks you guys call offset hooks have the points tilted down towards the bait slightly. If you bend them up slightly it will increase hook ups by quite a bit, and sacrifice weedlessness slightly. Swimjigs are also nice for weedy areas. Not sure if they are popular over there.

@@jayvee5898 not quite. Swim jigs have no blade, the head is generally more pointed, and have a fiber weed guard. The head helps cut through the weeds instead of dragging them along with the lure, and the fiber weed guard does what it does.
