I've always found on any pike water, at least until late June, a good pattern is to find major spawning areas are and just figure out how far the majority of the fish are likely to have dispersed the since spawn. I find the dispersal is typically mud bottom bays, to shallow rocky flats, weeds as they come in and then deeper water. Just how I make sense of the way various spots on my home waters produce well at various times, and whenever I hit new water it seems to work.

Excellent tips, well done. Pike fishing is so much fun. I sort of lob really big baits, often with a sidearm motion, never have broke a rod casting, only with accidents. In a couple instances, losing a couple inches off the tip *improved* the action, making a nice, heavier niche rod. I also mash down the barbs. The 4-Play lip lure is also great, but I don't see it in the link. Hope they haven't discontinued it.

Busted my two piece on a hook set last summer. Broke at the eye right above the join and 100% my fault, in that I suspect that it’s because I was constantly using that eye as leverage when breaking down the rod. Live and learn

@pal-pdbaits1119 Жыл бұрын
Nice video 💪 good to see the bigger pikes are fat and healthy, need to be some 20-30lbs Northern in that lake. Wondering - in the late summer we often fish dropoffs from 25 to 35ft that goes to more deep cold water. The bigger pike here often feed on 40-50cm wallye, whitefish and borbout in and over deep water during summer. I know you have more different baitsfish than us in Scandinavia but is anyone trying fish with big rubber 10-15" on the deeper edges?

Group of family guys went to Lac La Martre in Northwest Territories of Canada. We caught several hundreds of Pike from each 3 boats.
