FANTASTIC tips. I'll CERTAINLY be putting some to use. I'm still getting used to manually using the settings on my new camera and my inclement weather & night conditions I've been trying to improve on to get better photos. I have started in just the last month to go a little bit deeper into editing pulling out the colors and adjusting the light. I've been apprehensive about it as I have preferred the photos as is in original form. I'm liking the results as they really make them stand out.
@dalemartin68284 жыл бұрын
Struggled with time of day and weather for a while but started making thw decision to take the camera always. Some conditions will give you some of your best work regardless on your assumption before you leave home. But as time goes by, you will know from the get go of arrival on location if something is going to look good or not. I've also seen some other amateur photographers shooting in garsh light without common knowledge or ignoring common practices and it shows in their work. One in fact is given quite a lot of respect for all the wrong reasons because its definition NOT for their work.

That first tip is SUPER important. Even if you can't take the banger photo because of weather/ lighting conditions, you should still take a photo for the memories. I actually had a similar story when I went to Japan last year. I was at Mt Fuji and it was way too foggy to see anything, but I still took a selfie, which honestly makes for a better story than just a clean shot of the mountain. Even if it's not as "Instagramable"

6:08 - What does 1/50 or more mean (in terms of shutter speed)?
@thatcherfreeman5 жыл бұрын
A shutter speed no longer than 1/50th of a second, IE 1/50, 1/100, etc. The shorter the period of time your shutter is open, the less movement occurs in front of the camera during the exposure, resulting in less motion blur.

I have recently bought a Fujifilm XT-3. As a motorsport-heavy photographer (although I cover landscapes/portraits too) I have a lot of photos that I had with my old camera, a Nikon D3400, that I still need/want to edit - especially Motorsport shots. Instantly in lightroom I have noticed a difference in quality. Obviously there's a huge quality difference between a high-end Mirrorless camera and an entry level DSLR. I am using all the tips covered in this shot and I'm still getting noise, or loss of quality. Am I right in putting this down to sensor and megapixel values since I'm using exactly the same settings pretty much with both cameras? Or is there a way I can edit my DSLR shots to reduce that loss in quality without destroying the photo. Moving from a D3400 to an XT3 was a huge step for me, and I may be trying to make my old camera perform as well as my XT3, despite it not being designed for the same quality etc. The Nikon is a brilliant piece of kit but I'm just wondering if there's a way to get the old photos up to scratch with what I am now creating, because you can really tell which shots are taken in which camera !

Thanks Jason, I love your vids and your style...🤪...just got my a6400 with the pancake 16-50 lens in last few days, and got the Sony 18-105 zoom lens too, today . I have an IPAD Pro 10. 5 inch. It can cope with 4 k video. I am inclined, and prefer to use IMovie as the editor, and am hoping it’s an editor for dummies, or non-tech dudes like me, but am open minded. Just don’t want a tool that’s hard to grasp. I have watched some trainers who seem to be promoting lime fusion ( is that the name?);.. and I think you have to pay for it. What do you recommend Jase? The first thing I’m gunna do are some sunsets because they look great, but of course while having some intense colours, they also have some dimness. The 18-105 is a constant F4. I guess Can boost the ISO, and also increase?? (is that right), the shutter speed when I fiddle? I can’t of course open the Aperture below F4 ( ie create more light): Kind regards, Terry
