Traveling and photography needs so much compromises, even more when you travel with someone who is not into photography. Not having to change your lens is a great feature. I have the full trilogy of 2.8 Tamron zoom in version 1 (17-28, 28-75, 70-180), and when I only bring one lens in travel it's obviously the more versatile 28-75 but damn, that's not wide enough by a big margin. I end up doing panorama to be merged afterwards in Lightroom which takes forever, or even rely on my poor pixel 6 pro ultra wide camera. I also try a travel with only the 35mm 2.8 from Tamron, super light, but I don't remember one photo from this trip :/. This 20-70 feels perfect. Even more when you show that the difference between 70 and 105 is not that big. One quick crop and it's the same.

4:13. Those shutter speeds are both the right and wrong advice. The real answer is you take your focal length and multiply it by 2 to give you your minimum shutter speed without motion blur. 14mm -> 1/28th 24mm -> 1/48th 50mm -> 1/100th 100mm -> 1/200th 200mm -> 1/400th But at the same time you could choose a slower shutter speed depending on whether you have image stabilisation or depending on how stable you can hold a camera handheld.

You speak the truth! We shot our most recent music video with the Sony A6700 and the Yongnuo 11mm lens in a small room with very low light and fog. Our photoshoot was done with A6700 and the Sigma 18-50. I didn't even take the Canon rig out of the case. Thank you for knowledge.

Super helpful. I purchased an a6100 to get back into photography after a 2 year hiatus, and cannot seem to get anything into focus. I had always just used manual focus on my school provided canon, but my kit lens doesn't have a manual focus ring, so now I know what I need to do!

shooting the best selling content on a single lens. primes are cool but client dont pay more for it so who cares... but yea i also have a 70-400 lens and it feels so damn right to shootwith it 😀 so some parts of gear are only needed for the photographer, not for the photography. and downside of having too much stuff is that they more u own they more lay unused around.

My only issue with it is it's DLog M.. I mean if Apple is able to have a proper Log, why can't the OP3 can't have it with it's 1 inch sensor 🤷🏻‍♂️

Let’s keep it simple - I bought my first Sony camera (the A1) July 2023 (just paid it off 😏) - as I switched from Nikon to Sony (after wasting $$$ on the “game changer” Filmmaker’s Kit they still doesn’t have Apple’s FCPX support 🤬) 1.) The A1 overheats on every video shoot. 2.) The firmware upgrades are corrupting the functionality if not BRICKING cameras 3.) Sony doesn’t care and is selling you upgrade camera… which will still overheat (because it doesn’t have the FX3 fan) and will soon be obsolete with the next camera released. Other than that - I got what I paid for in the Sony ecosystem - with two FX3s and the family of GM lenses!

Even though I bought the Sony A6700 last year, my old a5100 remains my most used camera. I don't do video so the 1080p limit is no issue, and it's so much smaller than even the A6100, it's the best everyday carry ever. I wish Sony would release the A5700. Same ultra small body, 26mp sensor (or the 40mp one they sell to Fuji), no EVF (but a built in flash), no IBIS (because not everybody does video), with updated autofocus / color profiles, all for less than $1000. 🤩
