I feel like it starts in the shower, then you can either use a unscented or scented body lotion/cream i love body oils then the fragrance has something to hold on to, most people don't moisturize their bodies wondering why your fragrance isn't lasting, i think this was a great video Steven...

I agree moisturizer is important....body cream or body oil...i personally use both before I layer my fragrance

My go to is applying a dab of vaseline as a base for my fragrance. Most of my fragrances dry down slower and linger all day doing this!

Vaseline changed my life. I'm a person that hates overspray. And I'm not a big fan of spraying on my clothes. But you're right moisturizer and Vaseline on my pulse points do the trick.

I use an unscented moisturizer or an Iso E Super moisturizer that I put on my forearms and neck before spraying the fragrance onto my skin. As you had mentioned, I also spray on my hair and clothes (pants, shirt, baseball cap, scarf, beanie) to magnify the scent a little more. I would also normally decant my frags into a lipstick-size travel spray to bring with me so I could re-apply when needed.

I have done all the things you mentioned, and they work to a point. The clothes, however, keep the smell forever even if you have washed them three times! My oldest son hates perfumes and when he visited me today for Mother’s Day, the moment he walked in the door, he said my entire condo smelled like perfume! And I was discrete as I knew he was coming over! I have no idea why he thinks my entire place smells like perfume and do not know why it has permeated in my entire home. Every one else I know, for the most part, always loves whatever I wear and always wants to smell me, but he has an aversion to perfume, and his girlfriend is allergic to perfume, so I understand why she avoids me and I try not to wear perfume when I know she will be around. They moved into a new house and want me to spend a week with them, however, no perfume is allowed. I am not sure I could make it though a full week without wearing perfume! To each his own!

I once watched a video where Roja Dove said that a moisturizer works but that you first spray the fragrance, give it a few minutes then put on the moisturizer after to help “seal in” the fragrance.

Some valid points there Stavros. My favorite is to do 20-25 sprays to ensure longevity projection and sillage. Did 23 sprays of Eros Parfum and the senorites were going absolutely NUTS,!

Emma Vernon suggested that we should be spraying perfume on first then apply moisturizer to help with longevity. She said we should treat perfume like a facial toner. One would never put spray facial toner after we put in our facial moisturizer. I'm trying this and will let you know if it helps!

Moisturising actually weakens the scent & longevity on me. I find fragrances work best on me when my skin is dry. I wait as long as possible after showering. We are all different, I guess. I also spray the back of my arms & my chest, as I'm a big hairy monster & it sticks like glue to my fur.

Stronger fragrances last longer and light fragrances tend to be short lived and I usually don’t moisturize because I have oily skin.

First of all, I don't think "projecting" is necessarily a good thing. If people smell you before you enter a room, you are doing something wrong. If you are "the cologne guy" at work, you are doing something wrong. To me, it is much more important not to smell bad, than to smell good. My mom's golden rule is: people should say: "are you the one that smells nice" vs "wow! you smell nice"
