Remember the warming spices, Jessica! Cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, cumin, fennel...all are so good to use in foods and teas to help warm you from the inside! Big hugs your way!!

I love your energy Monica 😊 I’m finding Ayurveda so so interesting. I live in NZ (but from UK) so I’m Southern Hemisphere and moving into Spring not Autumn 💚 It’s hard for me to still get my head around this, I have a November birthday so I’ve always been used to a birthday in the Fall but now it’s practically Summer. I’ve lived here 2 years now.

Love your happy energy as always! I’m in Alberta Canada and it was summer one week and the past five days it’s been snowing. Winter really causes me a deep sadness and when it comes this early...skipping fall (though hopefully we will get warmer again soon for a bit)...what does one do? Jump right into Vata/Kapha? I think I’m Kapha Body Vata mind and trying to lose excess weight but a lot Kapha foods cause pain. I love Ayurveda but still have a tricky time personalizing it.

OMG snow already!? Maybe fall will come back - make it's just flukey and you'll get your crisp fall air. I mean, that IS a quick transition. Overall, the common quality is cold. If you keep warm in diet (spices), body (steam showers + oil massage), and embrace exercise that is warming and grounding (weights, yoga, barre), that will help., Also...find something that lifts your spirit!! Art class? Jewelry-making? Cooking? Etc., Hobbies and being surrounded by great people can help lift your spirits. Re: personalizing it, start with the seasonal practices and observe what works for YOU. Repeat/adjust based on how you feel...but get started in some way. Hope that helps! You can get through this! XOXOX!!!
