You nailed it! I've been telling people that for decades. Number one rule. Never let another persons BS affect your physce. IE. Blood pressure. I consider it insane to let anyone affect my mood. And the added bonus! Arseholes just hate it when you smile at them, when their trying to bring you down to their level. And other times, they just be good people who catch themselves and let out a chuckle and a grin.

Yes we can only control ourselves! 👏🏻
@truthsmiles7 ай бұрын
The problem with this is if it’s a person, you can simply choose to no longer interact with them. The sun setting is beyond our control we can’t choose our way out of that.
@heymonicab7 ай бұрын
Yes! Exactly my point! If you can’t control it, don’t let it irritate you. However you can control certain things like who you choose to hang with and many others. But the incontrollable things that happen repeatedly (like traffic)…not worth the irritation. That’s where the self work is.
@truthsmiles7 ай бұрын
@@heymonicab Probably not your intention but this touches on a debate I’ve had with several friends… most things, even traffic, we CAN control. I can always choose to opt out of most aspects of life if I want to… I personally find this outlook empowering, because it gives me agency. Yes, I’m annoyed by traffic, but I’m in traffic because I chose to have a child, buy an expensive house and a new car, so I work a job to pay those bills. While the choice may be difficult, I CAN give up my expensive house and car, give my child up for adoption (or ask the ex-wife to raise him), and just go live in the woods. So, when I’m in traffic, I think to myself: I’m annoyed, but I’m here because I chose this path, and I continue to choose this path. I understand most people don’t like to take that kind of responsibility, but for me it helps a lot :)
@heymonicab7 ай бұрын
@@truthsmilescorrect. Your words reinforce my point in the video 😊 we make a good team
@truthsmiles7 ай бұрын
@@heymonicab Absolutely. To the extent the traffic exists and if we find ourselves in it, we are powerless to change it, and I agree the most useful thing to do is accept it. But when it comes up, I find it hard to resist pointing out that YOU (and I) are the cause of the traffic, and we’re not obligated to be in it! Almost no one agrees with me. Or if they do, they find it completely infeasible to contemplate changing any of the habits that led them to the traffic in the first place. 😊

I use coconut oil and butter to cook with,I even put a teaspoon in my morning coffee and still have pebble poop so I'm lost to be honest I eat twice a day,at 11 am 4 scrambled eggs cooked in butter add an avocado to that,then dinner I have either meat or chicken with rice or sweet potato and zucchini,and guess what all cooked in butter or coconut oil so it's weird,I have been under a lot of stress so maybe that's not helping

Awesome advice! im a vata person and i find yogurt really chilling too. My body immoderately starts feeling cold as if i ate tons of ice cream and i get bloated. So not for me i guess. Unless that yogurt is heated up and has some warming spices added like ginger and nutmeg and cinnamon, then i can somehow eat lots of yogurt and still feel great! Lassi is the same thing, it's way too damn cold for my body. But heating up lassi in a pot can make it gentler to me personally. Although there's some curdling when i do that

What about fish for khapa
@heymonicab11 ай бұрын
Good question. Better to have meat like chicken (birds fly, air animals) vs. fish (water animals, kapha is water). But honestly, if fish feels good when you eat it and you can digest it and you don't have a kapha imbalance, then just have it and eat happy.

I have this and I'm miserable. I take 2 medications that make this worse but they can't be stopped. One is for pain,and one is a muscle relaxer which causes the dryness. I definitely fall in the category of eating dry. Crackers,rice cakes,hard cheese, raw vegetables. I'll try steaming the vegetables. Does butter count as a oil. I could do rice and butter. Oil and I don't get along. It really upsets my stomach. These rabbit pellets can get so hard they join together and I have to help them come out. I have to put on a glove...you get the idea. Help I'm miserable. Thanks

I know the theory. The problem arises on the exact time of decision making. How to distinguish the right decision? Some are pretty obvious but many of them are quite tricky to choose!? 😏
