Good on you Mark Andrews. Keep twinkling those ivories 😊

A big G'day to you Mark from Melbourne Australia. And yes us musos are a talkative bunch.I was going to write a medium length message to Tom, but then I read your novel haha (which I thoroughly enjoyed) 😮 and thought I'd keep it short. It's great to see people who genuinely love their music. Tap on my head to see my youtube piano channel (not great... yet) but gotta start somewhere. Obviously LCSP can help us all. 😊🎹🎶

And PS I checked out your blues guitar ...I thought you might break into ACDC at any moment lol. 😉 I've now subscribed 😊

I really enjoyed listening to you. Yes it may be different but that is what is great about music.. we can express songs as we see fit. I'll watch the rest of them too 😊 I see what you mean with the loudness of the piano... wow! I'm getti g my pianola tuned tomorrow after years (1886 Schwetzen Berlin) and she is loud too, but has a different sound to. Gotta love them all. Keep learning, living and loving 😊

And thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Check out my attempt at Iron Maiden haha. Tom Will see what a crazy student he will have on his hands if I start online lessons lol. I play by feel and by ear, so I love LCSP as they think outside the box 😁😘

You guys are great to be doing this. I'm working on a blues song called "Regrets." The first two lines are: "Two things 'bout my life, I really do regret. I quit takin' piano lessons and started smokin' cigarettes." I'm going to use the riffs you taught us here to start the song. Thanks so much.

@contemporaryschoolofpiano Жыл бұрын
Thank you kindly. We're more than a KZbin channel - we're a vibrant community hub, rooted in a place of authentic connection and shared growth. Online metrics may offer a portion of our tale, yet they can't capture the full breadth and depth of our work in piano education.Thankyou for kind comments.

Another gem, thank you for making me sound a little like I know what I'm doing haaha, I know a piano/keyboard only sounds as good as the player makes it sound, however, what keyboard and model is it you are using here, are you playing through external speakers, thanks again much appreciated.
@contemporaryschoolofpiano Жыл бұрын
it's quite a complex set up I'm using a Roland Keyboard patched in with VST software, which is why the audio is so pristine. (I'm a massive audiophile....) and sound quality is extremely important, I'm looking forward to shooting some less digital tutorials on some Grand Pianos this year, especially my beloved Blüthner.

@contemporaryschoolofpiano11 ай бұрын
Hmm strange. I just tested this on my Samsung S21 in a noisy cafe and I had to turn it down. If you use proper headphones or speakers, you'll find the videos at a close to audiophile standard, but audiophile graded recordings can sound poor on some cell phones. The Voice microphone being used this video are the classic AKG 404 - which are used at BBC broadcasting House. (That's why I choose them!!)

good job , ps / the translation cover your play sometimes so we can't understand what r u doing exactly .
