If these kind of instructions were available when I started music studies as a child, it would have made such a difference for me. I have over 40 years of theory under the belt, that I learned the hard way, especially being a young female serious musician in the 60's. Bless You For This!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is struggling with the left hand.
@Robertlavigne13 жыл бұрын
The left hand is so brutal to get down. I have been working on learning a left hand pattern other than the basic shuffle. I've put 10 hours of solid practice over the last 2 weeks into it. Starting to come together but it is still so rough. I can play known licks over top of it now, but with any improvisation it all falls apart.
@rcrewe37333 жыл бұрын
@@briankelly2670 EVERYONE struggles. If you don't struggle you ain't human. Nobody was born knowing how to do this, or have it come easy. I've been at it over a year and just now getting a little comfortable with it (I'm still not there, but it's coming and now almost forgetting how hard it first was).

Haha, I second that, at first glance I thought, oh my Ringo is giving a piano blues lesson, I know he plays in C, he says so on a record, early 1970, ha. Anyway, I've been launched into blues lately, I'm a guitarist , but man, so important to know what the pianist is doing, blues piano adds a lot to the group, just like boogie as well. Pianos so logical sometimes compared to guitar. Yeah man, wow r u ever a dead ringer for Ringo at some point in his life, amazing resemblance .

Love to see the PDF that goes with this (or any of the lessons) since it's hard to watch the fingers and tell how many times you strike keys. On the G - F# riff, I think you go GGG F# GG F# GG F# but not sure... My timing is completely off on the first riff too alas... I don't know if an online video course can correct for that.
