Story 2. I would’ve at least asked for my refund regardless of what the other guy might have suffered from if I was in this situation. I mean I have paid for the food and as a customer it isn’t really a responsibility for me to say thank you so that guy’s excuse for yelling at me just sucks. You're a paying customer you don't owe that nutcase a thank you but he does owe you a free bag of food cause an employee ain't supposed to just throw some customer's food away just because you don't say thank you I mean it's always nice to tell someone thank you for something they hand you but you're not obligated to say thank you to someone so I mean what's this guy's big hang up on someone telling him thank you? Does he do this to all the customers who don't tell him thank you if he does he's going to cost them customers they need to get rid of them or order him to get help and if he refuses then he's fired.

That was most likely a mismanaged or untreated personality disorder; he legitimately needs psychological help and should not be working like that, could be a harm to himself or others (especially if one day he challenged someone with a gun in that manner).

I'm all about manners and I've worked many fast food jobs. When someone neglected to say thank you at appropriate times, I never would have acted like the psycho in story 2 though. I always just say "you're welcome" anyway. And this isn't limited to customer service, I do this in my every day life. Sometimes people ignore it and continue on with their day, sometimes they realize they should have said thank you and turn around to do so. But it's my harmless way of dealing with entitled and unappreciative people without hurting anyone or acting like a psycho. 🙂🙂🙂

Story #1: Why would you wait an hour without contacting anyone? Even if you thought of it as a non-emergency that you didn’t want to call 911 right away, the two sets of people that should’ve at least been contacted would be your manager(s) (as it involved a person relating to the business) and your parents (the people that you lived with).

Story 3 - he followed you bc you were young, alone, had money (you bought food), had a phone to steal, and were stupid enough to talk to him and not say anything about his creepy antics to anyone. If you were likely female (since you didn’t say)…then all the better. You possess not only less threat as a female to someone like this (their predatory way of thinking), but the potential for sexual assault as well as robbery. You got lucky that night too.

People with anger issues that extreme usually end up attacking someone, and they were only emboldened by the person not doing anything to report what happened. Yes, he probably had a serious mental illness going on unchecked and all that behavior was threatening and completely unprofessional. He is a threat to others and himself. It’s disappointing that we don’t teach even basic (USEFUL) psychology in schools such as how to recognize something like this and that society generally leaves it unchecked. You add drug addiction (which is so common) to a person like this and they REALLY go off the rails - all potentially preventable.

Story #2-the 'customer' was a complete idiot. This employee obviously had anger issues. After dumping his food, why did he not demand to speak with a manager?!?!? Of course not. This idiot didn't want to cause trouble. The employee already started trouble by telling him, that he didn't say thank you. This employee deserved trouble, and a lot of it.
