When I was in grade school there was an older neighbor that was a bully, I was much younger than her. She told me while on the school bus that my mom died. I cried my eyes out and she said " it's allover the news ". I ran home from the bus stop in tears and was relieved my mom was home. This was almost 25yrs ago, cell phones weren't a thing, I had a beeper/pager (I'm that old haha).

I think people are born with that 'difference' in them. I myself have been so angry I nearly stabbed a few people. Something stopped me though. I've learned not to have anything in my hands when angry because, I at least throw things. Not good. I could imagine rocking next to a dead body thinking "what have I done". But I'm betted than that.I know right from wrong. I can understand hurting from breaking up in relationship etc.

I love you Let’s Read but about 90% of what you said in the Jodi Arias story is incorrect. Dates, scenarios, how long they dated, when she went to meet Ryan Burns, to name a few. I had to skip past the story because it was so wrong. However! May she rot in jail and be reminded of her silly words to news reporters right after her arrest... “No jury will convict me and you can mark my words on that. No jury will convict me because I’m innocent.” Travis never stood a chance & what she did to him was monstrous.

Let me tell you what happened to Howla. I live with a Arab controlling family so i have some in sit.. her father or brother stroked Howla and found out about the bothe of them and threatened to do harm to her lover so she agreed to leave him after braking up with him so he wouldn't look for her. They married her to a family member ( cousin)in a arranged marriage or in the worst case scenario they took her to Libya and killed her in one shot to the head. I was married at 16 year old to save my then love 15 years later he never looked for me heart braking isn't it. Just some in sit. Thank you for reading my long ass comments. Bye

That last story is legitimately disturbing. "Honor killings" do happen, and it is absolutely terrifying to think about. My comment is in no way meant to discredit or downplay the tragedies that occurred in the other stories. The last story just hit different to me, and it may well be contributed to the author, as his retelling came across as very profound and intimate in detail. I have heard true crime KZbinrs cover the murder of Travis Alexander as well, and that case is both horrifying and infuriating. Peace to all those who are mourning the loved ones who have been ripped away from them by others who were too vindictive to just LET THEM GO.
@DesireesJoint
@DesireesJoint 3 жыл бұрын
I heard about the case with Travis & saw those pictures back in 2015, however this is the most detailed recounting of the events that I’ve heard. Whenever other people have talked about it, they just showed the pictures & said that the pictures were taken moments before his ex murdered him. I appreciate Let’s Read for actually going into detail with the backstory. The way he described how his friends found him like that, that’s just so disturbing. I always assumed it was the cops that found his body.

The story of Craig (Greg) seems conflated...do we have evidence that she moved on to a larger man who would’ve helped her? What would be her motive for killing him? Did she even have any tendencies that would indicate she might ever do such a thing? What we do have evidence of is that Craig, as sad as it is, was deeply disturbed, disturbed enough to lie to his parents and cease going to work (without any concern about that, such as calling in sick)....he had already begun to disappear from his own life.

I followed Jodi Arias trial from beginning to end. It blows my mind how someone can be that sick in the head to do what she did to Travis. He didn’t deserve what happened to him. I will not ever forget this case. 😢

I guarantee that a person whose deranged enough to do something like that to you, will ENJOY any attention they can get, and would not hesitate to press charges as well as tell everyone what a monster you were for doing such a thing. Etc. I mean, I get the reaction, but you’d be idiotically endangering yourself to do anything to continue to emotionally feed such a person in any form. They will take joy in their revenges and thank you for giving them the excuse to do it.

That last story: Some general information for those who want to know. We all know that the father was lying. What happened, I'm almost sure was an honour killing. I cannot speak for Libyan culture, but these are rampant and hugely under reported in India and Pakistan. Women are often seen here as symbols of honour for a family or community. So, if a woman has an interfaith or intercaste(for Indians and Pakistanis in the house),the family's (of the girl) honour is "stained." To remedy this dishonour, the daughter gets killed for "stepping out of line." Often though, both partners end up getting killed or attacked. So, the last dude was actually lucky in that sense. What likely happened was the girl's parents found about her interfaith relationship, and you can guess the rest. Not saying I condone honour killings, but that dude was actually luckier than most. Also, I'm not sure about Libyan cultures as I said, so someone will have to tell me about honour killings over there.

Everyone thinks the 2nd story is awful. It is, but do y'all understand the pain of being cheated on? His mom is alive. It was a sick prank, but tbh, that prank is not as terrible as cheating. She's def crazy for doing something like that, but still ... Not as heartless and hurtful as cheating. Something that cannot be undone and can forever damage a person's trust in others and maybe even ruin future relationships.

Story 1: I feel sorry for the OP, but honestly, not too sorry; seriously dude, WHO THE HELL BREAKS UP WITH THEIR GF & STILL CONTINUES TO LIVE WITH HER?!?! Did you owe her money for rent? Did you both sign for the lease, so you were contractually required to stay with her? Seriously, WTF were you thinking?! Of course she freaked out; the two of you were still living together, & you were trying to hook up with another girl while still living under the same roof as her! For example, how would you've felt if she started seeing some other guy & they later started banging on the same bed & in the same bedroom you two once shared, while you were trying to sleep on the couch?!?! Would you really be cool with it, now that she was your Ex?! Any self-respecting man would say, "Hell No!" Not while the two of you were still living together! OP was a total idiot!
