*_I remember my teenage heartbreak. I was 16 & we were together forever - A FULL SUMMER! Broken & feeling like this pain was something I could never get past & after a sleepless night I picked up my rifle & went out to try to get me a Doe. For 3 days, in the woods that my dad owned, {360acres surrounding our home} I stalked a doe I liked but nothing went right for me. If we went beyond our woods I could not shoot it so I had to keep getting in front of her meaning I had to almost abandon attempts to stay downwind from her. And in these thick woods, you won't ever get even a 100-yard shot so the few times I saw her before finally getting her, was upwind from her causing her to just run. So I got my doe, I recovered from the worst broken heart I ever had. Of course, I know now how irrational this pain is but it's real & not to be made light of when our kids experience their own first breakup. Let them know how you dealt with it, even make up some story to take their mind off things. Their reaction to this will be how they respond to losses in the future so be prepared ahead of time with your story cause all our kids will go thru this._*

After his death, the world descended on this podunk town & made it a spectacle. His many children dealt w the fallout for years, tho they'd nothing to do w it. Pretty crazy. The movie "In Broad Daylight" staring Brian Dennehy is outstanding!
@jackspring7709 Жыл бұрын
Story 2: I always found two things about that story intriguing: the authorities were never interested in convicting that criminal, yet they were livid and determined to prosecute the people who removed him. This particular version of the story doesn't detail how many times authorities turned a blind eye to his crimes and seemed to be even actively protecting him. Clearly they valued this felon very highly for whatever reasons they had. Thankfully they failed in their endeavours.
@ReneeShieldsReshi11 ай бұрын
STORY #2 - I've seen this story featured on other crime shows, but this was the absolute BEST account, which is a damn shame because the TV shows had the advantage of reenactment actors and actresses, but 'Let's Read' had was his remarkable knack for story telling and a plethora of vital information [obviously] bypassed by all the others. ...This is one of my favorites, right up there with Rachel Wade and Gertrude Baniszewski.

Hehehe- The Ken Rex McElroy case is by far my favorite true crime case ever. The only thing "wrong" about how that story ended is that the town didn't get a massive prize or parade for doing it and that he wasn't slowly, brutally tortured beforehand. They couldn't get justice in court, so they made their own justice. 10/10 There's this amazing docuseries on Sundance - "No One Saw A Thing" - and it's about this case. All imma day is that the long-haired Vietnam vet deserves his own show.
