When I was a kid a tried making an igloo out of a snow bank. As I was making it, it collapsed on top of me. There was probably a good four feet of snow on top of me and I was trapped for like 20 minutes. I was screaming but nobody could hear me. I couldn’t even move my arms, there was just too much snow. Eventually my brother realized that I was trapped under the snow and dug me out. If he didn’t know that I was playing outside, I don’t know what would’ve happened.

I know a lot of people don't like it when teenagers go trick or treating, but I always roll my eyes at that. I would much rather have 16, 17, 18 year olds go trick or treating for candy around the neighborhood instead of doing something stupid on Halloween night. I find a much safer, and thankfully a lot of my neighbors feel the same way as I do. It's just odd to me that not many people think that way.

I've never thought about it like that! Another thing I don't get is when people get mad at families/teens who trick or treat in neighborhoods they don't live in. Like I grew up in a shady hotel, so my parents always took my to the neighborhoods down the road. Homeowners there would sometimes (somehow) recognize we didn't live there and they'd be rude or not give us candy. I never understood that hostility 🤨

I have n e v e r gotten scared from these stories, but the one about the great-grandmother getting buried alive made be feel so faint and dizzy that I had to lay down for a while. I guess I have a fear of being buried alive that I've never noticed before? Just imagining her struggling and going insane and clawing at her coffin and hair... big oof.

I will never understand why people don't lock door and windows when they are completely alone at home. It must be a cultural thing, but here in my country, we close every single door&window and double check every time we go out, stay alone or sleep at night. i know this is pretty tame, but my friend once when we were in our psychology class took out his work that was due that day and put it on the table for the teacher, it was in once of those plastic pockets, and both me and him remember him putting it on the table in front of her and watching our teacher take it. the next class when she was handing back everyones work with corrects, she forgot to hand back my friends, she looked confused, and told us she remembered correcting it. she looked through her things again but couldn't find it. my friend looked through his psychology book, and found the unmarked work in the plastic pocket. there was no way it could have been there, me, him and the teacher all remember him putting it on the table and the teacher taking it. i know this isn't super weird but it creeped me the hell out.

I’m from NJ years ago I was in London for Bonfire Night and let me tell you Brits can get very rowdy. They are brawlers and get very physical after a few pints. Also I was in Southern Portugal where you see a lot of people from Europe and at the pubs it’s the Brits that are the roughest and loudest.
