What's even more amazing is that there may be entire galaxies made up of dark matter. This means, the entire galaxy is invisible since dark matter does not interact with electromagnetic force and photons pass through the matter.

Dark matter and the Dark Energy that powers it, moves through anything EVEN itself. So if there were a planet that had living entities on it, they would stretch out in all directions. Why there's part of the entity in my toilet, and another part of it 5 million light years away on a lonely cold planet! The ONLY way that a Dark Matter entity could exist would be outside our UNIVERSAL laws of physics. ie They would need to be in the minimum of 4th dimension. Which means they could see theirs and ours, inside guts and outside skin all at the same time!! And that's only the next theoretical level up! Your conspiracy theory vid about a galaxy lurking in our universe of Dark Matter entities is NONSENSE.

Kim Land Woah calm down, I never claimed there are living entities made up of dark matter, though we will never know for certain. What we do know, however, is that there is at least one galaxy (Dragonfly 44) made almost entirely of dark matter. And it's a very massive galaxy, slightly more massive than the Milky Way. You're only showing your arrogance by speaking out of certainty. There are many known unknowns and unknown unknowns in our universe. By the way, I've completed my studies in Astronomy and I am in no way or shape a conspiracy theorist.

In physical cosmology and astronomy, dark energy is an unknown form of energy which is hypothesized to permeate all of space, tending to accelerate the expansion of the universe. Dark energy is the most accepted hypothesis to explain the observations since the 1990s indicating that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate. (Wiki) Energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only rearranged. (Law of Conservation of Energy) Absolute zero is the lowest limit of the thermodynamic temperature scale, a state at which the enthalpy and entropy of a cooled ideal gas reach their minimum value, taken as 0. (Wiki) Zero is infinitely large, the ultimate sum of all conceivable quantities. (Giorbran, Ch 20) Every action, or energy, has an equal and opposite reaction, or counter-energy. (Newton's Third Law of Motion) THUS: When Dark Energy has driven all molecules in the Universe to Absolute Zero, each particle will have infinite Potential Energy. With no more "out" left to push into, the equal and opposite result, collapse, will happen. The particles will accelerate towards the Universe's center and converge, forming an Ultimate Singularity. This, in turn, will have an equal and opposite reaction, resulting in a new Big Bang......and over and over again, reiterating towards asymptotic perfection. (

Furthermore, until know, in general, we talk so regularly about the universe that was created throughout the bigbang and that the universe expands, but i few years ago this was all quite uncertain. We as humans are speculating, providing, consuming an reanalyzing information, hypotheses, research and developments so increasingly fast the last decade, that i am starting to ask myself the question: why now? Why not centuries ago (with the increasing progression of today). And even more: what will the future bring us in terms of this rapidly increasing technology?! Awesome stuff Top5s! Space is hands down, my favorite subject! I think it’s a good idea for each one of us to take some time to try and get a grip on how tenuous our existence is. The universe is a truly magnificent and uncomprehendingly massive place to get your head around. If we could get everyone on the planet to understand that, our petty squabbles would end pretty quickly. If we want to survive this, we’re going to have to work together, if we’re going to get out there and thrive. Very thought provoking piece, well done!

Great video, I only have a small nitpick, at 0:20 you say 'detecting gravitational waves from galaxies colliding', you probably meant to say 'from black holes colliding' since galaxies take millions of years to collide and probably don't release any gravitational waves as they do so, at least nothing we can detect. I'm just assuming you are referring to the detection at LIGO.

Ad before video hasn't even finished but just by looking at the title I know I'm in for a great philosophical trip...greetings from Mexico.

There's definitely life out there. There's no way that the universe can be so vast and we're the only ones living in it.
