I guess what makes my home charming is that there's always creativity abounding within my home. My oldest son became a watchmaker. My youngest son loves to produce music and I have a crafting channel on KZbin so there's always music and creativity and colors and paint and always something new happening everyday. I also find that it's a bit messy which makes it charming but it's messy cuz there's too many creative people at work

We live in a small one story townhome. It is brick with a curvy sidewalk up to the door. We have enjoyed furnishing it to make it feel cozy & warm. We are older so we downsized quite a bit moving into this older home. It’s our own little cottage and our street is actually called Cottage Circle!

You are both darling and so is the cottage! The gravestone step is really intresting. I love the peace of graveyards. My daughter picnics in them and I had no idea that was a Victorian tradition. I live similar to you in my log cabin with no t.v. and people think I am odd. They ask " what do you do?" I tell them I read, sit out on my porch in nature, do crafts, cook. My time is well spent in my opinion. And the no technology except for my phone is my joy.i have a pitcher pump on my kitchen sink that is a novelty to most as well.

Thank you for one more cute and cozy video! We rent a house built in the 1950, and what's charning here for us is the way we decorate our house. There's lots of missmatch of different furniture stlye and decoration that were given to us over the years, from different years and eras, many of which are also vintage. It's very charming!

My friend actually has a map of sorts of all the people and where they were buried in an old graveyard from his town. He's in his late 60's and used to care for the cemetery voluntarily when he was in his teens because he loved it so much. Because the burials weren't recorded by the town years ago when these people were buried, the town didn't have a record of them. At their request, he's giving the town a copy so all those people are now recognized. I thought of that when I saw the gravestone as your step in your cottage. I wonder if it's possible to look up the name of the person on the gravestone to see where he or she might have been buried in your graveyard so a marker or maybe something you create could be placed in his remembrance. I think it's amazing to have the stone as your step and it somehow seems important that this poor fellow isn't left in an unmarked grave. Even if the marker isn't exactly where he lies, at least it lets anyone who wanders the graveyard know he existed. I have a Tibby too. Sadly he's a new Tibby and though he's sweet and comes out to chirp at me, he's not my old Tibby. My old Tibby came out faithfully and sat upright in front of me tweeting every morning without fail in the same exact spot and I always said good morning. He always stayed until I finished my cup of tea or coffee. One morning a hawk came out of nowhere right in front of me and grabbed him. I cried and cried. Now, even though I still have all kinds of animals that come out to see me, I'm always watchful so I can shoosh them to safety if something is around. I miss my leisurely morning talks with MY Tibby😔

Wow thanks for sharing about your friend who did such a service for his local Cemetery neighbors! 🙏 It's hard to see the full name on the gravestone step but it would be really nice to do more research about that 🕸️🪦 I'm so so sorry to hear about your too Tibby 😭🐿️ how horrible for that to happen right in front of your eyes to your little friend 😭 but I think that's so sweet that you're to be to spend time with you when you're having your mindful coffee my morning, and I also think it's so sweet you're calling your Chipmunks Tibby 🥰

In answer to what is quaint and unusual about my very own cottage is that it is a 1930s bungalow. 800 square feet 1 bed and 1 bath. I call it my crooked little cottage as it slopes toward the back of the house so my furniture in back is a bit off kilter. But it's adorable and I wouldn't change a thing. I also haunt my local thrift shops for sweet and unusual decor. Alot of my decor items have been free, found by the side of a road. Love to bring new life to old items. Love watching your sweet and cozy videos.

Your cottage is so charming and cozy! What I find most unique about our sixty year old home, is the woodwork. Artistry unfortunately doesn’t seem to exist today as it once had, the woodwork has stood the test of time. It is timeless and I too often wonder about the family’s that have lived here before us and what their celebration’s must have looked like.

I live in a doublewide on a few acres of land. It is our first house and although I am not thrilled with the architecture of a doublewide I have made it in my own cottage cozy style. The smallest room is my favorite because you can look out the window and see the beautiful crepe myrtles the previous owners planted and a small pond with our little toad friends. It is peaceful and beautiful. We also have our hummingbirds visit every year. This room is now my 1 year old son's room.

My PA log home is charming all around, but I think what stands out as unusual (to some people) is that the entrance is not in the front of the house. The door is upstairs on the left side. Visitors must walk along the left side of the house and climb the stairs that lead up to a wrap around deck. The deck wraps the left side of the house and goes around the backside of the log home. But best of all, the screen door in front of my main door is so charming! It is a carved wood design of a bear reaching for honey in a hive on a tree. That was something I thought adorable when we purchased the home 😊!

I’ve always found old cemeteries to be so peaceful, steeped in history. We bought our house from my husband’s family after my father-in-law passed away in 2006. Our children were grown and we felt that our old Victorian home was seeming too large for the two of us, so we bought the seventies ranch that my in-laws built. When we were restoring it, we took out the 70s gold bathroom fixtures and were able to give away everything except for the gold toilet. We added a garage to the house and since we didn’t know what to do with this toilet, my husband ended up breaking it up in pieces and putting it under the cement floor in the garage. This is about as unique as this 70s house gets, but I guess not too many people can say they have a toilet under their floor. I enjoy your channel so much!! God Bless both of you!

My husband and i live in a 1000 sft home on 35 acres at the end of a gravel rd in the country. We get so many visitors from the forrest around us. Ricky racoon,Pete the opposm, daisy deer and her babies. We have a handicap blue heron that stops off at our pond every year for a rest as he flys south. The red, yellow and orange maples are ablaze with color this time of year, and it is magical to sit around them on a cool evening and listen to papa owl hootie hoot as we watch the full moon rise thru the corn patch. I also have 9 holland lops that hop curiously around the yard and put theirselves to bed at night in their hutch and the crows call good night to us from the huge oak tree. God bless you both. Now your chanel is part of this world.

It’s always so enjoyable to have little peeks into your charming vintage home and lifestyle ❤️ You two are adorable and you can feel the love you have for each other and your CobWeb Cottage . The seashell for your lil Chipmunk is the cutest ! Our neighbor Chipmunk 🐿 is named Chippy Von Chippington lol. Our old but charming 😉 late 1800’s farmhouse used to have many wonderful and similar things like the old front door “ with “ the skeleton key, a little door under the stairwell painted inside with original green milk paint and had 3 hooks for hanging your garments ( I imagine a little calico dress , pinafore and bonnet ) and the best part is you could see the original log cabin beams where the just built the rambling farmhouse around it . There were many other lovely, charming and mysterious things and I think that’s the best about living in a vintage home 🏡. Here’s to hoping to share a cup o’ Sweater Weather! 💕

Cobweb cottage is super charming. Love the unusual things, even that grave marker step! Hmm...my house is 2 months younger than me. It has a complete bathroom in the basement which use to be 'out in the open" until hubby and neighbor enclosed it...lol I like decorating the fireplace. I painted the rough red brick white last year after living here 35 years. Fun to decorate. Oh, we turned the garage into a family room in 1992 and spend all our time here.

I loved this video and I also loved reading all the comments about other people's charming homes (lots of inspiration on this thread). I live in a somewhat modern condo in a small city, but I have made it cozy by decorating with country style furniture from the 1980s (which is when I got married, but it's vintage how LOL). I have created little vignettes in some areas to showcase things I have collected in my travels to England and Ireland and it makes me smile when I look at them. I also have "quiet neighbors" in a small 1800s cemetery at the bottom of the hill and it's surrounded by a quintessential New England stone wall and I love to go there to meditate. BTW Lindsay and Jonas, Cobweb Cottage reminds me so much of the cottage my grandmother lived in when I was a kid - she was born in 1901 so she had furnishings from the 1920s-1940s like yours and your cottage brought back lots of happy memories for me.

Oh what a beautiful Web we weave! I want to say THANK YOU both for your special videos. It does my heart good! I actually live in a Cottage and just over our backyard fence is what I call “Angels Park”. We to have a Graveyard and there are 2 ponds within that add to the “peaceful”. This is what I would say is Unusual that I find Charming. Not many do, but my husband and I do. We respect our “Angels Park”.

I love your cottage and all of the adorable ways you have decorated to make it such a personal and cozy home. I, too, have good neighbors like your's. We get along so well. And I also had my own quirk that I found in my old office...a window, complete with blinds...closed, but all intact, that led to nowhere. It actually was a window covered by a false wall at the back of my office room, but why someone covered it over was a mystery. I love stuff like that.

Thanks for the hidden object game. They are my favorite! Loved your unusual things about the cottage. I live in a log cabin that is small, two bedrooms, bath, kitchen, and living room. Rooms are small and closets are small. I have always liked cabins and this one has a large covered porch all the way across the front. To me, that is the best feature. Have a cozy fireplace as well. I think a small space can be quite cozy, and I do not have a back door! Congratulations on 3K!! I love your vintage cottage decor.

Wow! I love that you picnic in the cemetery! When I was a senior in high school I used to eat my lunch at a cemetery, and I thought it was beautiful with the flowers and interesting reading the headstones. I didn’t know anyone else did this past or present.

What a great video! I love your chipmunk. Your videos are so visually beautiful to watch. I would love to start a collection of your tea tins and artwork. It would be such a special and beautiful collection ❤ I bought a very old cabinet with glass doors to display all of my new treasures, as I have lost most everything from my past. Long story. anyway.. You guys bring me joy and I wanted you to know that. Live your dream life. Sky's the limit. Congratulations on 30k!!

My parents bought an old farm off of a family that were caretakers for a cemetery. We used to find old headstones that they had repurposed as sidewalks around their house. When an old stone was replaced by a newer one they would take the old one home, flip it over and use it as a sidewalk. They made great Halloween decorations. I also found part of an old headstone on the railroad tracks near our current home. I would imagine it was no longer used and crushed up for stones on the railroad. I have it in my rose bush now.

We live in a 1930s cottage, and there are so many quirks! It started its life as a 2 room farmhouse cottage, and was slowly added on to over the years. There are different architectural details in every room, depending on when that part was built. We are also lucky enough to have two huge old trees on the property, which are home to many native birds.

Great video. The chubby chipmunk is so adorbs. What's cozy in my house is my egress window in my bedroom. I have a beautiful mural of a forest in it and I have twinkling fairy lights above that look like they are in the tree limbs and river rock, driftwood and solar lights on the bottom. Cozy!

I had told you guys about how I was raised next to a cemetery and lived near it for 16 years. I was heartbroken when I found out that the cemetery had been defaced of all trees and the wilder parts of it that separated part of the old town. Now, it doesn't look nice nor is it a place that I feel you can wander and enjoy, peacefully. :( Thank you for sharing your curiosities with us. ^^*

I call my home, River Nest. I rent the top half of an old house with river views from my rooms. The curious thing is the only way in is up an old, steep outside staircase. Feeling like climbing up to the very best kind of tree house!
