I was at a bar in Soi Cowboy a couple of weeks ago and talking to a couple of girls at the bar, they both said that things are still very quiet and it's been very hard. I bought them a few drinks, but wasn't interested in boom boom. The girls just wanted to talk and they were happy with me buying them some ducks beaks and a few drinks to wash them down.

Yes, not all the bars have opened up there, and definitely not as crowded as it was pre Covid. You can quickly work out that the bars are empty inside as there would be 2-4 girl’s standing outside watching the very few punters passing by.

For me, I think if I was seeing a Thai girl I met in a bar there, I would fight fire with fire : keep my private details as private as I could; always remember they are working when they are with you ( you pay them after all ) and cut ties when I want something else. I'm not giving my passport to anyone, I'll show it where necessary, but it's gonna stay with me the entire time when I'm out of country... I'm not even gonna lock it in the room safe... those all have master keys accessible to hotel staff.... if someone loses or steals your passport it's a major pain to get a new one! And stolen passports are hot commodities on the black market these days! Absolutely not leaving my possession until I undress and put it in the room safe.

I took a trip to Pukett and just felt the people there were not as friendly as most places in Thailand. I felt they just wanted to get as much money as possible. I enjoyed the trip and went to James Bond movie Island, but have no desire to ever go back. I love Thailand and the Thai people and am currently making plans to move back to Thailand full time.

Because I live here I have access to a lot of working girls and bar girls the same type of bar girls that you would find in Thailand. I am watching your video from thailand ( sha am) and I must say I really enjoyed it.and yes the lady boy are stunning looking. The app thai friendly is very misleading ist almost laughable women claiming to be 45 but showing a picture of her 25 years younger. Dear Peter, don’t let your love for Thailand cloud your judgement and always be objective. Scammers, like bar girls, are indeed bad people. And no, being poor doesn’t justify scamming people. They can do just fine with their salary, tips, and going out with customers. Doing things like ganging up on customers to get extra lady drinks under the false pretense that they’re leaving with you, providing coins as change when bills are more appropriate, overcharging customers, having multiple sponsors, etc are despicable things. We are poor in the Dominican Republic but women don’t play these silly games. Tips, bar fine and their fee, that is it. Again, do not attempt to attribute their behavior to being poor or feel sorry for them; they make more than 95% of women in Thailand. This is the Land of Scams.

Regarding the guy in the second (LB) story...dude, what did you expect? Seriously. She worked as a freelancer. You expected her to be loyal to you, not go with other guys, and not keep asking for money after a couple of weeks' Line chat and meeting in person for a couple of weeks. She was your holiday girlfriend. You had nothing to offer her aside from money. The relationship was going nowhere. You had your holiday fun. She got money. Low education, freelancer, poor command of the English language. You expected wayyyy too much and are reading way too much into what she did or didn't say or do. I honestly don't know why guys (on their precious holiday time away from their job/country) put up with petulant, moody, demanding Thai girls they've just met online. Trying to apologise, wondering if she's genuine and trying to make amends after arguments. Just block her and find another girl. You're not looking for a lifelong wife. She's *one* girl in a country full of attractive available women. I have no idea why, on this channel, guys are constantly meeting demands and making sacrifices of time, money and emotional energy on uneducated, low English level bar girls and freelancers from apps. This scarcity mindset, in Thailand, baffles me. If a guy comes across as weak and clingy, girls are either going to have no respect for them, or exploit them.

I believe some things that lead men into falling in love with bar-girls and GoGo dancers could be due to a number of reasons, namely; loneliness, depression, and a feeling of rejection. A messy divorce, mental health issues, and a lack of communication skills, no self-esteem, a lack of judgment and a lack of confidence; the list goes on and on. Many men do not go into bars to find love and live happily ever after with a Thai bar girl or a GoGo dancer but moreover, these men find that they are in the company of a pretty, young girl who shows them affection and seems to take a genuine interest in them. This gives the man a feeling of temporary happiness and total blindness to the real situation in front of them. Thai bar-girls are charming, cunning and good at what they do! They have years of practice and 100’s of victims under their belts! It is so easy for these kind of men to be sucked into a situation they did not plan on and end up in a situation that begins to takeover their lives.
