Hi Peter! I'm very glad you revisited this story. It's an important cautionary tale and most people aren't hardcore Thailand Bound story hounds like me (so they're unlikely to go back that far). I watched a lot of expat videos before I went to the Philippines and it saved me a lot of headaches. Your content will do the same for me when I head to Thailand. In terms of the format, I like them both. I know how much work you put into reading and editing these segments. I'm not sure how feasible it will be to commit a new story, that is not yours, every week to memory. Maybe you can do it as a special or alternate between formats. Whatever you decide, I'll still be waiting with anticipation. Cheers.

Good story. Sadly, one that I've heard all too often in Thailand. I'm not going to call him any names because living in Thailand I know how easy something like this is to happen. There's always a brother in Isaan. I could write a book on those Isaan guys. I employee some of them and they are too much at times. Women, fathering children and alcohol rules their lives. Let's leave that there. RIP to the man that this story was about. Regarding the story format. This was good. I enjoyed it but I do also enjoy hearing the several short stories every week. Whatever you decide anyway, I'll still be here every week. Have a good weekend.

I hadn’t heard this story before and didn’t see the end coming. Sad. As someone who does and has had relationships with non-western women including Filipina and Thai, and thoroughly enjoy them, you have to be alert, always. The moment you get complacent you’re done. And yes, I’ve had my share of wrecks too, and I always add them to my file of $#!+ to remember. I have never known any of the women to be overtly malicious, just varying levels of hunger for something more or better. No matter what the Western man’s station in life, he is seen as a potential PROVIDER first and foremost. The second you dismiss that, you’re already in trouble. Of course there are those fortunate souls who marry that first girl and live happily ever after. God bless ‘em, but I’ve never been that lucky. Hopefully your book will in addition to your videos also help men avoid this ending. Thanks as always Peter. You may not know it, but I believe you are saving lives.

It was a red flag 🚩 regarding her pressuring him about loving her and the holiday girlfriend. Secondly I saw a video on this from an attorney operating in the region. He says to always verify if she’s married or not lol f you’re in Thailand 🇹🇭 or the Philippines 🇵🇭. Next before you invest a penny go see a lawyer that specializes in foreign ownership of business or land. Had he done this he would have saved himself a world of hurt 😢 may he Rest In Peace ☮️

Out of curiosity, since this seems to be a recurring theme, save for the unfortunate end... If someone is fronting their life savings into a shaky business venture and it will definitely not be in their name, is it possible to have a lawyer write up a loan agreement so that if (WHEN) something goes wrong, the money must be returned once the deception/scam is revealed? a safety net so to speak... and has anyone tried this? is it even possible in Thailand? I just can't imagine having doubts and then throwing caution to the wind, and not having a backup plan when everything for you (not her) is on the line.
