There’s a Nobu in NYC as well. I went once just so I could see Chef Morimoto in person and he wasn’t even there that day. 😔 Now that I’m way older and “ahem” a bit wiser, I realize that he wouldn’t have even been there to begin with because that’s not how television works. 😂 I was 19 when I went to NYC and had seen him on the Japanese iron chef. They mentioned he worked at Nobu, NYC and since I wanted to go into the culinary arts I really wanted to see him work in person. Little did I know that he had very recently left Nobu to start his career on Iron Chef (Japan) and I’d missed getting to see him create his sushi art by about 5 months. But I was young and Google didn’t exist, so when they said he “also” worked at Nobu and I had an upcoming trip to NYC I got really excited to maybe see him work. 😂 Anyway, it all ended up ok. I still went to culinary school and when I was a bit older I got to meet a fantastic sushi chef in Virginia that taught me all about different types of foods that you find in a sushi-ya. Sorry so long. 😂

Hey Sunny, as a L.A. resident, I don't think you picked the right "cheapest" sushi. In America, never go to 7-11 for cheap sushi. You must go a Japanese market a.k.a. Mitsuwa, Nijiya, Tokyo Central, or [insert other Japanese Market], especially in the Little Tokyo area of L.A. or in Torrance, California. You honestly could've gotten way better quality sushi at the "cheap" end of the spectrum.

@@iyohiyohiyoh586 i mean to be fair, he only ate at 3 places. Theres countless sushi spots in L.A. and the surrounding areas. If you're doing a comparison of the cheapest compared to the most expensive options, its better to be realistic about where people actually go for cheap sushi, which is japanese markets or high-end american markets (like Whole Foods Market) who sell sushi using higher quality fish. I guarantee you that the general populace is NOT going to 7-11 for sushi, especially in the L.A. area. 7-11 doesn't even specialize in sushi compared to the other places he went to which are legit sushi spots.

I have beef with Nobu in Malibu, me and my buddy just two of us spent 600 on just eating Waygu till we got full. We were like sweet we spent decent money, we got drinks, lets chill a bit and get desert. As we were chilling the server dropped off the check, we were like ok, we are still going to chill and get desert in a bit. We told the server we would like desert, the server left and came back with the Manager. The manager said, "Unfortunately, we need this table we are having a bit of a busy night. Perhaps next time you come back you can try one of our great deserts." my buddy was celebrating becoming a Hospital Director and drunk so he lost it on the Manager...I worked in Restaurants for 10 years and understand when you are busy, but not to kick people out.

Dude... U didn't know how to deal w the situation. Are they serious? Ask u to leave? I would have told the manager, why don't you fxxk off.. If it was me, I would start recording w my phone camera w the manager.. They would be scared shitless. Cuz they know it will be on social media, and their business will be fxxcked... Besides, Nobu sucks... Been there... I would never spend my $ w them; so many better sushi in LA.

Terrible on the restaurants part. Not a good way to get repeat customers who spend good money.

I’m a big Nobu fan, the entire concept, I got married at Nobu Malibu, so I may sound biased but I’m objective about restaurants. The second place of course is the best value but people don’t go to Nobu just to eat. It’s going out at night. Nobu Malibu (not the one he was at) is easily one of the most beautiful restaurants in the country. He also went to Nobu and pretty much only ordered the most expensive stuff only to run the bill up for the purpose of the video…without even getting their signature dishes to boot which are way cheaper than what you got. Nobu does not pretend to be a “sushi” place. It’s Japanese with Peruvian influences. I get that most people who watch this channel don’t like Nobu or the crowd that goes there but at least review the place with some sort of research before you go. If you’re only doing sushi there are a thousand other places you can go in LA. You either went to Nobu because you didn’t do research or because you knew it would get hate comments.

Sonny, the 7-Eleven convenient store, despite being founded in Texas, is a Japanese-owned company. In the 1970s, 7-Eleven opened its first location in Japan.

Let me get this straight, you go to a ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT restaurant, you paid full price, and then the restaurant charge you extra for eating too much? You’re in the wrong all you can eat restaurant business. Get OUT!1

@@kaox44 I don't think you have ever been to an all you can eat. There are only two rules for All-u-can-eat: No leftovers, No takeaways. Simple. And yes, the time is usually limited. But apart from the fact that wasting food at any place (restaurant or home), doesn't matter wether u paid or slaved for it, IT IS WRONG!!! imagine if anyone was allowed to just order a shitload of food and just leave it there because they "paid full price"
I could watch bro eat all day haha he’s funny and reviews 100% honestly

NOBU is living off its name at this point. The food is fine, but not mind blowing, and for the price point, one would expect to be amazed and the meal memorable.
