I've just watched this SUPERBE video: it took me almost one hour to watch it 🤭, stopping every minute to learn those wise tips, and appreciate every single take (and printing it for a new album) and ...So glad to find out that our HOME is full of WABI SABI founds (I've just mended a very old AUBUSSON PILLOW that I've got from a great friend with pieces of an old english linen fabric, and ...it's fabulous 👌!!!) I do also KINTSUGI all the time, and...also so happy to find out that all my huge abstract paintings with oxidate fabric collages are totally WABI SABI !! Thank you very much for this superbe CLASS, glad to share w/ my 🎨 artist friends !!

It is funny how you can live and create a space that feels right intrinsically and then when you take a minute to observe your choices, it has all the elements that pertain to a style you resonate with! Love your videos, Suzie! So informative and inspiring! I'm in the wabi sabi/Belgian/warm minimalism (Vervoordt) camp but I also love styles which frequently seem incompatible with that look, like dark, moody atmospheric (but not Gothic/Victorian or bro-cave) and neoclassical/Parisian (Saladino.) I want to do a refresh of my small 1960s condo and I've having a hard time visualizing a dark, masculine, warmly minimalist space w/neoclassical elements lol. I'm not sure I can make Vervoordt and Saladino "speak" to each other--and on my IKEA budget, too! 😁 Anyway, love the vids and will watch more of them!
@suzieandersonhome Жыл бұрын
Hello Gregg, thanks for your lovely feedback. I resonate with you in the style you love, I adore the Belgian/warm minimalism however in some rooms I could certainly love the richer more moody approach that adds a welcoming comfort. If you have a stand alone room that could be decorated in a darker, moodier palette it would create a lovely contrast to the major rooms of your house. If you look beyond Ikea and look to vintage/second hand stores, flea markets and ebay you can collect some beautifully well made antiques/vintage finds that have a history that adds a certain unique soul to your space. It is also likely you would find some gorgeous handcrafted ceramics/objects of art for your more warm minimalistic decor. Hope that helps! Have a great Christmas! Suzie x

Hello Ting Ting. Thanks for your feedback. I think that elements of the Wabi Sabi style can be incorporated into any space. It's about being conscious of the pieces you select and the space in between. Not overcrowding or having clutter is the starting point and living with what you love. Serene muted colours, handmade unique pieces and natural textures. I hope that helps! Have a lovely Festive Season. Suzie x

Hello Aleks, absolutely you can. The fundamental styling elements (our 5 L’s) apply to any living/entertaining spaces from a picnic, caravan, apartment through to an English manor house! Creating a space that resonates with you, with thought and care has amazing results in how you feel in a space. We hope Our videos show a range of abodes with a focus on the elements that are transferrable to all budgets.
