I've been a cyclist (Felt Z5) for years and a biker (Yamaha MT 07) for a year. I've gained skills and experience from each that makes the other more enjoyable. I love riding my motorcycle on my bike routes and I use the motorcycle to discover new bike routes.

I agree with everything and wanna add my coin to this. Along with leg muscles you will improve your core and abdominal muscles which are essential to keep your body balanced. And believe me, cycling will just make you happier) Also, be responsible and respectful on the road kids, wear darn helmets!

So true! As a new rider, the skills I learned on a road bike have been simply priceless!

I gave up bicycles back in middle school. Don't feel the urge to try them again. I enjoy an engine doing the work for me. Then again I have not had a track day yet.

I've bern riding for almost 10 years now and have started biking two years ago. Indeed, there is a significant improvement in my endurance and leg strength, which are useful when handling a bike.

Brilliant. And you are correct CC... I've been on two wheels, in one fashion or another, since I was 4. It's been an evolution that never ends, an I will enjoy new videos 2. Thanks my brother! Ride on!🏍🚴♂️

I doubt I'm getting any feedback from this, but I used to compete with my bike and when I started riding a motorcycle I didn't notice much difference. Riding my bike through out trails in the woods gave me balance and experience while on 2 wheels. You're accurate about all those points you talked about and honestly you are the only person that ever agreed with me in that matter.

Great video! Don't forget Cyclocross racing is very safe and cheap way to learn grip, weight position, and bang bars. All the thrill with very litle risk. As well, trials motorcycle riding is also the best foundation for any motorcycle discipline. I wish I started with these.

I myself am a cyclist as well as a motorcyclist. And riding an XC bike both in the city and off road, it literally infuses confidence and good road judgement into the rider and also helps you choose the best line of travel, be it on the track, gravel, sand or mud. Looove your content!! 😌👌💯 Keep 'em coming! 🤩

I would also say that you probably have it easier at the start I have been properly cycling for the last 5 years(5000-8000km per year) and the first time I ever got onto a motorcycle(rebel 500) i was freaking out about the 48hp, but discovered that it was really easy to handle, even in slow speed maneuvers. My driver instructor even noted an exceptionally slow speed when doing the "go as slow as you can without tripping the bike". The other guys were asking whether I was riding a 50cc moped or anything for years. Suffice to say, motorcycling was very easy and intuitive to start for me. I just thought of them as really heavy bicycles. Plus, riding a tandem with a system weight of 160kg(rider+passenger+bike) also was some exercise to keep balance

The last time I've properly ridden a bicycle was 5 years ago. I've tried one recently in the store and god it was awful. I couldn't keep my balance and grabbed a handful of front brake. Having no ABS, crazy gripping brakes and shit tires on a slippery surface, I almost crashed. I rather keep it at riding motorcycles lol

If I hadn't bought my bicycle I would not have had the confidence to buy my first streetbike. Most if not all Moto GP riders spend some time on a road bike for physical fitness, there is nothing like training on a road bike prepping to ride a liter bike.

I am at best a mediocre cyclist (MTB), but when I broke my left foot last year (something stupid with a motorcycle), the way to get my equilibrium back was to hop on the MTB. Come to think of it, I did not start to enjoy cycling until after I had a motorcycle. Go figure.
