How would you recommend going to talk to your professor during office hours ours? Like just go introduce myself? “My name is so and so I’m happy to be in your class” and such?
@CraveClosetDivision
@CraveClosetDivision 6 жыл бұрын
I usually wait until I receive an assignment back then I send them an email wanting to go over the material and such. After that, I usually go in again toward the end of the semester just so they remember me and once the class is over, I send them an email thanking them for a great semester. Once a new semester starts, I will schedule a meeting just to catch up and talk about life! I found that this process works super well and it may be nerve recking, but 100% worth it! You could even email them after the first class letting them know how excited you are for the semester! It doesn't hurt. I hope this helped! (:

It actually worked out nicely I would say, I continue to take advantage of the location I am in and the friends I have met and never let a fun opportunity pass me by! I hope this helped if not please let me know and I can answer any further questions you might have!

Hey! Just stumbled onto ur video and it’s amazing. Love how in depth ur tips were and I’m very grateful i found ur video! I start my first day as a freshman tomorrow at a cc and i’m really nervous! I don’t feel ready at all and I do plan on transferring, however, I don’t know what to major in. Any tips to figure that out? Haha. Also Do u think I should drop my counseling class? My counselor recommended me but all my friends say that it gets recommended to everyone and it’s a waste of time. I have so many questions, is there a more convenient way to reach you?
@CraveClosetDivision
@CraveClosetDivision 5 жыл бұрын
Elina, I am so glad I could help!! The best thing about the first two years is that you will be taking classes in all majors from science, history, math etc so you have plenty of cources to see what you really like! I know its scary, but honestly once you find that course/major that you are in love with you will know! If you feel confident in yourself that you don't need their guidance it is completely up to you but do what you feel is best and not what your friends think! And so sorry for the delay (I was on holiday) you can always message me on instagram because I LIVE on there lol. Look forward to chatting more girl!

Sure! Are you at CC or University?
@CraveClosetDivision
@CraveClosetDivision 6 жыл бұрын
If you're entering CC, you have to complete an assessment test which will place you in your Math and English classes you need to start with. Math 65 and English 95 aren't 100 level so they won't count for anything, however, it is a starting place that will allow you to take other math and english courses once you're finished. You might have to take 1-2 courses before being able to take anything that will really count because Math 65 and English 95 are not 100 level. I hope this helped if you have any more questions just let me know!

I’m going to be 20 and I have completed 2 semesters at my local community college. I have only been taking two classes per semester so I can get used to everything. I don’t know how people can take like 5 or 6 classes per semester and hold down jobs. I’m really dreading taking the math and science classes. I am jealous of my friends that are going to 4 year schools because I don’t feel like I’m growing at all and getting the same experience. I also have no clue how I’m supposed to finish college by 22. I’d like to transfer to a 4 year one day. Maybe a private college. I also have developmental disabilities that make things much harder for me.
@CraveClosetDivision
@CraveClosetDivision 6 жыл бұрын
Julia, apologize for the delay! YT marked this as spam:( I commend you for taking classes so you get more comfortable with the CC environment. If math and science are not your strong suit (they were not mine) I would say create a schedule for your self that allows you to put a lot of your effort to that course! Maybe take a math class with an art class which doesn't require as much from you as a student. I wouldn't be so hard on yourself, its hard to do, but don't focus on your friends at 4 years and focus on yourself to be the best person you can be. Growth and change come I promise that, but you have to believe in yourself. Don't put so much pressure on yourself trying to finish at 22, work at your own pace and good things will come. I believe in you!
@Julianicholasduprey
@Julianicholasduprey 6 жыл бұрын
Crave Closet Division thank you! It probably got marked as spam because I wrote similar comments on other videos so I could get more people’s opinions. But seriously thank you for the kind words. My mom really wants me to try to take more classes this fall but I am worried if I take a bunch I will fall behind or get sick, I have a disability and also health problems. She also wanted me to take a summer class but the summer classes were 4 hours long which is a very long time to be sitting there for me. I really don’t know what’s going to happen but hopefully everything will work out for the best.
@CraveClosetDivision
