I really liked the switching hands on the hanbo you did in the middle. I like being able to easily transition from one side to the other to more easily practice both. Probably tactically useful too.

Thanks, I like the short lesson which is more conducive to retention. I prefer the Hanbo.

I decided to try and shorten a bunch today. I was going for five minutes! I’ll try again. I want them to have lots of actionable learning with less talking!

I agree, I was very happy to see the close up action segments with no talking and concentrated emphasis of the strikes taught for the day. P.S., how much do the Dojo training canes weigh? I can't find their weight anywhere. P.P.S., How long would it take for "you" to win a fight against one attacker if you had your cane, Jo or hanbo with you and everything went as planned?

Cane masters is making a new version of the dojo training cane that is lightweight and strong. I’ll ask about the weight for you. I couldn’t tell how long a Self Defense situation would last. The most ideal would be that the assailant is deterred by the fact that you are trained and prepared to defend yourself. In that case it’s over before it starts. If it became physical, then one strike stopping the attack would be ideal, and it would last seconds.

This is great. Going to practice each one. Once I have it, I am going to put them all into a combination like I am fighting an attached. Thanks.

elderly probably feel at ease with the short stick. They can pick it up and away they go. A cane can also be their safety.
