Lakes go through stages. A few years of bad spawns and the fishing will deteriorate. I think the DNR should have some kind of stocking program . Stock lakes with a small number of fish every few years. But most states don’t stock bass because they reproduce naturally.

The key is actually the habitat exactly because of that. Good habitat = good food chain = good everything else

@@JayKumarsBassBlaster yes I keep telling people that. People think tournaments are ruining lakes . But lakes with good habitat keep cranking them out.

Great topic. If everyone pulls together it sure can happen. Thanks for sharing.

Lake bomoseen is a local lake near me in Vermont that has been kicking out 25 to 29 lb bags of 5 largies. The lake association is trying to use herbicides in it after 40 plus years of milfoil being present in the lake. It's truly a amazing fishing lake full of fish and the only one they haven't poisoned. Check out the lake bomoseen environmental alliance it's local people taking a stand against a few in a home owners association that moved from New Jersey and New York that want to ruin are lake. More fishermen around the country should ban together and stop the use of herbicides in lakes it's better for us all and the fush

100% agree. Grass is demonized by states, lake associations and even DNRs which is nuts. Not all "non-native species" are bad! I have covered Bomoseen in the BassBlaster email but had not heard about those limits!

I’m pretty sure Ohio just voted in favor of grass, lol.

I fished a few lakes that had a small cove or two that was off limits to fishing , boating and hunting. They were wild life sanctuaries that allowed bass to spawn unbothered.
