One thing I've never understood was the need to fill a sketchbook quickly and being intimidated by the amount of blank pages left. I always like to try and extend my amount of time with a sketchbook as much as I can while still drawing in it every day because I always get sad when I finish a sketchbook, except for the rare cases when it's a sketchbook I hate and want to be done with. My sketchbook to me is like an extension of my soul. When I see I'm down to my last ten pages I start to stress out and drag out my time drawing in it because I just don't feel ready to finish it. And when I finally do finish it, it's like having to say goodbye to a friend. Of course, I'm always excited to start a new sketchbook too, just always a little sad knowing that I won't be using the old one anymore.

I write and draw anything and everything in my sketchbook. Jewelry designs, room re-layout, snips of patterns, ribbon, inspirational sayings, etc. My son even figured out that I made my Xmas list in there. My boys both keep sketch books now. It's ok to put photos or magazine clips in there, anything that inspires you. Thanks Emily!

Emily...You ROCK! I hadn't thought of half those ideas. Especially the idea of cutting out and pasting in. That's genius! Seriously, I genuinely hadn't thought of that. Oh and the idea with t he blocks of colour that you draw/paint on later, what a great thing to do! I often don't just draw bs in my sketchbook because I think of it as wasted time and effort. However, you have freed me from that restricting point of view...and no, I'm not blowing smoke up your butt hole... I just hadn't ever thought of these things before. So thanks hun. I truly appreciate it. I'm so happy I found you on KZbin. You are like a breath of fresh air on here! All the best to you, your hubby and da babes, from me here in South Wales. UK.

Art tips and dank memes? Sign me the heck up! PS: Another pair o' (OBVIOUS) tips I'd give is keep a desk heckin clean cause there is nothin' that butters my art jam more than an empty enough space to set a sketchbook down. Two, set yourself to a couple of supplies only per day for your studies and doodling, obvious but when you sit down without a plan it can get overwhelming(ahah cursed days of making a great pencil sketch, jumping to watercolor, smudged it horribly...just cry)

Ugh, i had come across one of your videos about a year ago (i think it was HeART to HeART) and coming back now, i honestly don't understand why i haven't subbed to you until earlier, because even then that video REALLY inspired me. I've just spent a few hours ear-binging some of your videos while cleaning and I'm getting super pumped at the same time about creating more. You're awesome!

I recently found a sketch book I received during Christmas 2016. Literally. It is a blank slate. It was packed away in all my things as I've moved twice the past three years, and I just recently found it. I've never been able to fill out a sketchbook before. So I found this video helpful.
