I do agree regarding the jewelry. 99% of my pieces are stainless steel (silver tones look better on me) and I converted several years ago. Not only is it hypo-allergenic but it's more affordable and durable. I never have to worry about it because it doesn't tarnish. Love the reminder...I need to start wearing my jewelry again. I use brown eye-liner and brown mascara for a softer look. Still use black for evenings, and brown for daytime. Fragrance instantly lifts my mood, so I have half a dozen perfumes that I use depending on my mood. When it comes to body care, my feet really need moisturising every night. My arms and legs get very dry in Winter so I have found a thick rich body butter that is Mango scented. Sooo good. After neglecting myself a lot when I had little ones (5), now they are grown I am catching up big time. Thank you for your tips Allie ❤

I’ve used brown mascara in the last for years but lately it really enhances red eyes ! Allergy season has started for me in Cali - eye whites look bad with brown mascara even with eye drops

As a jewelry lover and someone who makes and sells it in my own online store, I can't believe the amount of people that don't wear jewelry. I feel so naked without it. I make 90% of my stuff with stainless steel. I absolutely love using stainless. I also try and make a habit of using face masks and hair masks at least once a week. I also use lip scrubs almost daily. it makes such a difference and fragrance. I exclusively use Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab scents and I have for 15 years.

I had a period where I could wear cheaper earrings for the day so I really put an effort but everyday since I got an allergic reaction to pretty much anything and everything again I stopped making the effort. My skin is very sensitive to metals & I could not wear any jewelry for many years. Even snaps & belt buckles & the metal rims of my glasses gave me a rash. It's mainly a nickel allergy but as you mentioned anything that tarnishes is a no. I tried all the stainless steel, nickel free earring options & even those caused irritation & weeping. What has worked well is anything gold plated over sterling silver. I can leave it on without any problems. There are many low cost jewelry brands making good good quality "costume" jewelry now. The stones & diamonds may be synthetic but the metal is high quality 12-14k gold plated over sterling silver, nickel free. Hallelujah! I can wear jewelry again & not have to pay for 18k gold. You can also buy nickel free inexpensive french hooks & switch out the hooks on any offending earrings. Having the posts replaced will need a jeweler but could be worth it if the pieces are heirloom or vintage.

Two things that elevate my daily routine are fragrance, which I own quite a few of and switch up daily, and a dedicated stretching/meditation period. Even if it's only 10-15 minutes per day, stretching out my body after showering not only helps me to feel centered, but cuts down significantly and knee, back, ankle and foot pain. I'm 54 now, so anything I can do to reduce pain is game changing for me.

My everyday look it's literally just brown mascara. I love the elf lash extender, stays on all day and comes off with just water, so convenient! I find the brown looks better than black on me, it looks more natural and mixes better with my colours. I have tried burgundy in the past but the hint of red/purple in there didn't quite suit my brown eyes well.

I have been curious to try the body oil. I swatched it at Ulta and was very impressed by the glow and hydration but I have hesitated to buy it because I am afraid the scent will linger and clash with any perfume I spray on. To anyone who has used the body oil, does the scent linger?

I think I do my makeup so well . But I work under hot conditions. I do the thing of putting concealer under my eyes . Even without liner under my eyes I have black . No one says anything ! I just use powder. Maybe I need setting spray . I’m poor so hard to add another product.
