These are all fantastic tips! All of which I can add in to my workflow. I knew of being able to import photos with a preset but never understood how, and you made it so easy. And the timer at the end!! I'll go crazy on every photo and put in the time when every photo really doesn't need it. Giving myself a limit is brilliant. Cheers for that one

Thank you for posting the video Sam. Very clean, clear and helpful tips. One question I have though, why do you import with preset and then send to Imagen? Doesn’t Imagen just put its profile on anyway? I only used it a few times last year to be fair so I’m a bit out of the loop. I’ve not played with it since it’s had the updates and subject masks etc so might take another look. Just curious as to why you put the preset on first once you’ve set up a profile on IAI. Many thanks.

Yeah, I should have said that in the video, I still apply the preset on import as a habit really, but I could just run them through Imagen. If you don't use Imagen, then importing with a preset is a huge time-saver.

Hi Sam, one thing I don't understand. When you select your folder in Imagen and you have already edited the images with a preset on import, won't Imagen write over that preset in their editing process? Which leads to ask the question of what the point of presets on import is? I just run my photos through Imagen and only after I downloaded their edits will I apply lens correction, noise reduction etc.

Yeah, I should have said in the video, importing with a preset doesn't matter if you do use Imagen! I do still bring them in with a preset as a habit, and I still like to edit my preview before putting them through Imagen, but I could and should just put them through Imagen first!!

I really like this Sam. I’m a big fan of your work however, Imagen are going to be left behind by aftershoot. Their business model is too expensive compared to aftershoot. You need to give that a go as I think you’ll be converted.
