Ebay pissed me off today. Customer service representatives kept transferring me and being nonchalant about my issues. I had a seller (thodra29) remove 2 items from Ebay after taking my $ and supposedly shipping my stuff. Red flag. I paid $32.35 for downtown abbey and $64.75 for it's always sunny in philadelphia complete series. I get today downtown abbey the motion picture movie and not the series. Thodra29 doesn't allow returns. I tell the rep he's a scammer, she says he wasn't. Go to feedback and thodra29 did this before. Ebay doesn't protect buyers from scammers. What a waste of time and inconvenience. This was supposed to be a mother's day gift, and now I have $100 tied up in limbo and nothing I paid for.

I recently purchased a pair of "Crown Holder" jeans from a seller on ebay $220 plus shipping. When they arrived I compared them to my other pair of crown holder jeans (That were purchased from authentic retail stores) and the ebay jeans I received had some "Chinese writing" written inside the jean. I found that very concerning. Crown Holder jeans are well made, so seeing instantly made me think that I've been given fake jeans. Also, the label inside the jean was "generic" That raised my doubts. If the seller is charging $220 and the item is fake I'm very pissed off. The seller is skebony2

Thank you for these tips. I thought I bought hard to find discontinued shoes from ebay about 4 months ago. I have very hard to fit feet. I've owned a pair of these before but they are wearing out. And I know these shoes fit me. And I really needed a new pair. They happened to have one last pair in my size. The seller seemed legit. They had over 1200 positive reviews and only 5 negative. So I bought the shoes but they never came, and it didn't have tracking. A month after my item was supposed to arrive I contacted the seller, thankfully they gave me a full refund. Fast forward to this morning and I was looking for the same discontinued shoe again. It was on the sellers ebay! So either they never sent it out, or it got lost in shipping, or this is a scammer!

It seems about 1 out of 3 orders are scams for me. The worst part is eBay extended the wait time before you can process a claim. I have one that I bought at the beginning of June and can't process a claim until August 20th . They have even removed the seller and I still have to wait...If they wanted to Remedy the problem all they have to do is restrict receiving payment until we receive the product for imported products. Of course seller would receive shipping cost in order to ship. If as a buyer we have to wait a month to receive product they can wait a month to receive payment.

All in all, I’ve been done with China/eBay sellers for a long time. For anyone reading, stay away from overseas eBay sellers concerning masterpieces. Clothes..etc are usually fine.

I supposedly received my package but it never came, I did leave that seller a message which they never responded. And I did go through some of the comments. One person did call the seller a scammer, so yes. To protect yourself while buying multiple items at once and from overseas, make sure you use paypal for protection guys! Ebay is not reliable. They did not refund a payment I made. I requested the refund 1 day after making the order. The seller, vaeinc1, said they couldn't ship and wouldn't help me find a shipper. Ebay told me repeatedly: that I would get a refund, but it never happened.

With my China purchased ebay items I got got 1 time the reason for that trust me not all ebay China sellers are bad if they have less than a 100% Customer feedback leave it alone and make sure you read other customers feedback as well the only reason i got robbed that 1 time because I didn't check the ratings I checked later dude had like a 77%customers feedback after,that I made sure I checked all the ratings and no problems after that

It was actually easier in the past few years. Shady sellers are finding new ways to be sneaky but it is super obvious to me. I quit reporting them to Ebay because they gave me the 3rd degree. I could have saved them tens of thousands of dollars but they blew me off. Even when I was the one that got scammed. No good deed goes unpunished. At least I can educate the consumers! Thanks

Looks like the only place to buy actual products is on Amazon these days. Doesn't look like eBay even polices this stuff anymore. At least the guy that got me was just a Cashapp scammer and had a nice quick bot that, while incredibly stupid and just replied with the same thing over and over, was able to respond to "cancel my order" and instantly canceled it.

I'll give you 1 master secret to spot them everytime on ebay and amazon! Pictures! All chinese , hong kong sellers use the same stock photos across all websites, most the photos originate from Alibaba. Feedback from ebay is manipulated to help the chinese sellers, feedback disappears after 60 days of after refund, only about 10% of buyers leave feedback unless there unhappy. Also utilizing the message box when ordering to let them know not to try an send u anything other then pictured. I've also used there long ship times as rating leverage 1 thing asian sellers pride on is a rating. They will literally just refund you and block you just to get a good rating.

You will need to contact Ebay but they will probably make you wait until the delivery date to get the refund. Still contact them open a case, request to cancel order but start making some noise. You can not call Ebay right now it may take hours of waiting. Hope that helps.

I would not be able to tell if the item is real either. You check feedback of the seller and if they sell you a fake just open a case. Sadly your money may be tied up for a month or more. Another scam is they show you pictures of a real item like a phone and send you a fake. Hope that helped

i don’t think it’s the same as wish, i think wish is a company that just sells cheap stuff while ebay is individual sellers? i’m pretty sure you can sell your own stuff on there too, i’m not sure how you can check if it’ll arrive but i think you can just look around the seller’s account to see if they seem legit like the reviews and stuff. wish is very unreliable and the shipping is inaccurate, i’ve bought like two things from ebay before and they both arrived in good condition, but i think it’s different for every seller. i’m thinking of buying a plushie from there but i’m kinda doubting it since there’s other sellers using the same picture with the plushie

A simple scam: hacked account, 100% feedback, auction, no tracking, no expected delivery date. Chinese seller sending by regular mail that takes over a month to arrive. Buyer protection in that case only 30 days after purchase.

I'm coming on this video only because you just stated the obvious you really didn't say anything that somebody was some common sense would already know. I'm eBay seller myself and I might have to relist items two to three times and drop the price just to move the product either I started to high shooting for the moon or it just something is just not selling and got to move product. I know you're trying to be helpful and people ask for the video I watched your previous one and had me a little worried because I'm new to the transformer world as a collector.

I have been on Ebay as a buyer for over 20 years. I have lots of friends that call me and ask about items and sellers before they buy. Just figured there were more collectors out there that are sort of new to Ebay that havent been burned yet and could save them the hassle. Also if you want to move your product you may want to open your sales to international buyers. Ebay takes care of it all for you just pack it super well.

I recently took a chance on a very low priced item compared to rest of the sellers, I purchased it, and the seller took my money and never shipped the item, they gave me a fake tracking number.

@@lukesucksballs1069 Yes, I got my money back thru PayPal after UPS proved the tracking number was fake, and Ebay shut the sellers account down so they can’t sell or do anything on EBay again!
