it would be helpful if it was there was mention of what quests need to be completed to unlock the crafting material for the new armor as well as what needs to be accomplished to unlock the new armor... i don't have any of those materials or armor sets available yet. thank you

Found it!! You need to complete the quest "Alchemic Wisdom" from the Alchemist NPC; which you have to find the 2 recipies via quest then craft Alchemist Showcase and display them both. That will unlock many things including the Hardened Leather. Now onto the Violet Fabric...😅
