Yes. This is the way. I have one thing to add. Make a V-shaped tunnel in the top of that mountain. Doesn't have to be long. Have a window out to the circle ring where you can see it all. The air blast sends you back into the crook of the V. I can tell you that I tried other tunnels at different heights in other mountaintops near the ring.. this mountain and height you suggest works best. Did it as a ranger. And, get this.. when my good bow broke I went to the "worst" backup bow and it rocked the beast.. it is only a rare horned beast bow.. 3x10% ice magic dmg,1s draw, 33% arrow speed.. power is 50.

that's an interesting method. I fell into middle of the shroud and died, meanwhile dragon bugged and stuck in one place, so i finished him off with arrows from 70-80% of health :)

yeah.. I made V-shape tunnel with window to the ring.. but I think the key is the height.. I made tunnels on other mts at lower level and young dragon toasted me from time to time.. and the drakes came more quickly. And the wind blew me back and up and out several levels.. yeah.. I tunneled a lot trying different things. Your simple divot at that spot and height is likely simplest/best.

ive used it exclusively this entire update with no issues. id say its back in style for sure lol

Theres definetly situations where you might want to swap out say tank boots and a tank chest or helmet during certain areas and minibosses in the new biome, but I played as a mage this entire update on customized settings to where it's one less down from say hardcore, but I wanted to do less grind so I upped the farming times and resource gatherings. They definetly Un nerfed mage somewhat, but I'd recommend putting a few of those new skill points into tank perks like physical armour usefulness

most likely yes. u couldn't open the previous hollowed halls entrances until u beat the previous ones and got the required mats to craft the special keys once u got all three keys made u had access to every hollowed halls after that. that being said i did open this recent one without the keys in my inventory so im not 100% on that. as for how to get to the hollowed halls. if u can scale the mountains to get to the entrance of "Everfrore Keep" its one of the balefire locations for the dragon quest there is a rly tall but thin mountain spire right at the entrance that has wooden climbing platforms. i made it to the top of that and placed a flame alter. its a great spawn point that is super high up and u can glide to the hollow halls entrance from there as well as up to the mountain entrance for the dragon at the same time if you want.

As a melee sword and board this fight was so, so, so frustrating - but ultimately fun, different and rewarding (in terms of feel, the actual rewards are uh...just okay lmao). Never even filled his stun meter, I just frustrated myself until I finally got the mechanics and arrowed the shit out of him. Definitely just gonna cheese him from now on to farm the trophy lol.

yeah much faster and like u said the rewards just arent rewarding enough to not arm it in my opinion. besides the trophies and upgrading your alter there rly no other reason to face it anymore :/

after a few new quests the spell becomes craftable at the alchemist for a bunch of new and old materials.

@@k1w1fru1t9 sometimes those spells don't show up until you pick up the special ingredient for the first time. i know it requires silver dust so maybe mine some silver and make a silver bar it maybe will pop up if you havent already.

i used the mountain exploit the first time i fought him in my solo world, then i went back and killed him legit solo, while staying in the arena the entire time

i didnt omit it. u saw me do it in the video. i use the eternal chain lightning spell to fill the dragons white stun bar. once it fully fills he gets staggered and falls to the ground for 10 seconds or so.

@@angelessence73 check your server settings and make sure enemy perception range is set to normal. If u accidentally put it too low the dragon when it’s up high flying won’t see u. Set it back to normal and when u land on the platform it should spot u and start the fight

the easiest way is to stand on the hill next to the arena and hit him with your staff from a distance, just make sure he doesn't blow you away with his blast attack.

default settings for all combat. im a content creator i dont have time to farm things forever if i wanna make videos on time. so yes gathering and passive stuff like that i have changed to speed it up slightly. but all my combat testing is done with default settings and or harder settings to rly test its viability.
