One problem I have is that at 29 I don’t really want to look like a teenager, but I do still want to be fashionable. I feel like a lot of current trends look cool on teens but feel a bit too young on me (I look much younger than my age anyway). I feel like more fitted styles are a lot more flattering on my body shape but they’re obviously considered ‘uncool’ at the moment. I think I’m at an awkward age where I’m not old but not that young any more either 🤣

Lol! Same! Btw I’m 27 so I totally understand 😂 I just wear what I like and what I think I look good in. But as Alex said, instead of a fitted white tee use a boxy one. Those small changes are good enough for me. 😊 The skinny jeans are staying. I will die in them I think. 😂

@@ericabertels Yeah I just embrace trends that I like and for the rest just wear what I want, but stick to neutral colours so I look a bit more classy and put together 😀

I've tried oversized so many times and it almost always looks horrible on my body type. Ive had some luck with fabrics that drape rather than ones that are stiff, but ngl i still like the fitted look. I think it's so much more flattering.

I was born in 96 so I’m also between millennial and gen z and I’m actually so happy the oversized look is more of a thing now! Feel so much more comfortable in loser fitting outfits even though I do love millennial style outfits too. Thanks for making this video!☺️

This is so hard. I am late 30's thinking.... ok. I should peobably make sure I'm not stuck in a time capsule. We all know women from back when we were 20 who did that and they gave away their age. But bike shorts and huge floppy t shirts with platform sneakers? Ugh. Why. And then jeans with floppy t shirts rolled over and hiked up to show your belly? Like really? Can we have an option to look mpre current and not look a fool? Because I would look a fool dressing like this. Is there ANYTHING gen z which is just more feminine and classic? I dont want to look old, but I dont want to look like a rebellious teenager either. I actually own a house and have bills to pay.

I read somewhere, gen z likes patterns and colours, try wearing plaid and leopard print together. Ummm. Ok? I could peobably wear leopard pants, and a crop top snd throw an oversixed plaid button down over top. But geez louise would ever look like a clown. Is this rrally what I have to do?? Theres just gotta be a better way 🤣 millennial fashion was so easy. They didnt make it hard 🤣

Born in 95, I’m 28. I can not get away from millennial trends 😭 I did finally start doing crop tops with high waisted leggings but no skin showing. I also will wear yoga pants or “flare leggings.” I’m comfortable with that. However I can NOT do any of jeans besides skinny. Whenever I try a different style on I think they look so incredibly stupid! Maybe it’s my body type or I’m just that set in my ways… I’m trying so hard not to look outdated 😳🥴

I thought crop tops were a huge 2010's thing. Crop tops with skinny high waist jeans has been all 2010's. I only just started wearing longer tops because low rise pants will equate to longer tops as it did in the 2000's. I haven't worn longer tops since the 2000's.

Well, it's difficult. I don't want to look like a teenager and this type of baggy trousers is exactly what we used to wear when we were 15. I bought a few crop tops and I quite like them, but the baggy tops and trousers just don't look elegant at all. Also it seems that everyone is wearing the same thing, the same white t-shirt, same white sport shoes, same brown coat - it's kind of boring.

I'm all for oversized clothing IF it suits my proportions. As a woman who is almost 40, I prefer a tailored and more timeless style over a trending look. I avoid some of the GenZ style- especially Y2K styling. I have some great oversized pieces like maxi dresses, coats, jumpers, and shirts but these are more statement pieces to complement a tailored look. My husband is GenX and I would look awkward if I dressed like a teenager.
