I always imagined linen suits to be of much lighter colour but the brown has a very suave, cool summer evening sort of feel to it. I love them all, especially look 4, though I imagine it would be rather hot during a summer day regardless of material (I'm currently melting in my seersucker jacket).

Love this suit and this video!!! How early in a suit collection should/can someone get a brown linen suit? I get my suiting done by J. Hilburn and they have this amazing brown wool/linen fabric I'd love to make into a suit but am afraid it will not be able to be worn in the colder months of the year as I live in MN. I have a medium/light grey suit and a storm blue suit (very close to navy but has slight more flair than the usual navy suit). As someone who loves to suits, but doesn't need to wear one everyday for work. What would be your recommendation? I find the common answer would be for me to get a patterned sports coat but that is not as desirable for me than the brown. You definitely can't wear linen in the fall and winter. Just doesn't look right. Once you've got the basics--navy, grey, and a patterned sport coat--get something that speaks to you.
