I love this video! I have recently begun reading "Teaching from Rest" and the author quoted something that stood out to me ..essentially "curriculum is something we teach, not buy". You are so right about making these curriculums idols, when really they should be adopted into our homeschool to fit our specific needs or gaps.

Great video topic! "Just because the influencer is likeable, doesn't mean they're using a curriculum that will be a good fit for my kids." Good point! I think it's so crucial to know yourself and to know your kids well to be able to determine what resources will work best in our homeschool. I also believe that research is crucial in the curriculum choice process--that's why I try to make a lot of curriculum videos so that parents can really understand a curriculum before deciding to buy it.

How about creating a book list? How do kids even learn what they might be curious about? A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

She may not want to support the “big bang Theroy” I am guessing this is more a secular/evolution viewpoint? seeing as how she is a Christian homeschooler. I would only consider this book for a high school age child to also read alongside different view points.

@@Qetesh777 Yeah, I'm an agnostic and started reading science fiction in 4th grade. SF with science not Star Wars sillyness.
