As a Houston guy, it pained me to watch this game live yesterday. Westlake brought I think their A+ game and Shore showed up with a D at best. Which sunk to an F based on flat out stupid coaching decisions. Westlake was the better team in pretty much every way, particularly the ass whipping the WL D-line and blitzing LB #31 put on the Shore O-line. I don't have a box score but I think they sacked #15 Bailey at least 6-7 times.

Yes..I agree with you 100%. The better prepared and coached team won. Furthermore, Westlake is a little more physical and athletic than people think.

Westlake has better coaches, they don't rely on pure talent alone. They will come out on top over North Crowley and out coach them to a state title.

Been a long time since I've seen NS Mustangs play so badly and fail to be competitive! NS must have underestimated Westlake because they beaten them in the past and because Westlake lost to Atascocita earlier this year whom they beat twice. We had that happen to us when I played HS ball. The opposing teams cheerleaders totally sandbagged us telling us how great we were and how bad they were. We played like sh*t that game and still lost after our furious rally..LMAO

Exactly what about it. Mater Dei and Lasalle are both excellent programs. Mater Dei would beat both of these teams like a drum..they should Mater Dei and La Salle recruit, have no boundary limitations, and offer scholarships ..they should be really good.

First of all that is not true schools like Vandergtift, Lake Travis, and Dripping springs are all talented winning programs. Secondly Westlake has 2,800 kids compared to North Shores 4,500 so I don’t want to hear and arguments about drawing up talent as NS has 1,700 more people to pool from.

You need to look up Westlake History..they’ve been going to state since the 90s…It’s not just about having TALENT but it’s also about the moral background and the relationships the coaches, students, teachers etc have…Westlake doesn’t play all that “gang gang “ culture and that all about ME culture which is why teams like NS, Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill, they’ll have a good class of talent for a few years then back under the radar because they don’t truly play as a team..
