Hi Jeffrey, Thank you for sharing all the values with us. I wanted to clarify something that you said regarding testing products on General Store then take the winners to specific niches. The part about the ad ... basically if a product’s function cannot be explained from a photo as in Merchandise which is easy to showcase from still shots... then a video ad makes sense.. that’s all really ... slide show is basically still shots in a carousel ... it’s still more engaging than just one picture ... multiple positioning of a product is key 🔑 that’s the bottom line ...

Since there is so much awareness on dropshipping now, lots of people who is not into dropshipping will know that they can actually buy from aliexpress, so would't that make dropshipping much harder to do?
@Winterschant5 жыл бұрын
That's a good question actually. I"d say just because they know of it doesn't mean they'll buy it on Aliexpress themselves. On top of selling at retail, you're also selling convenience and branding if your store is set up well. Sometimes the perceived value of things will instantly add credibility to the seller and websites like Aliexpress don't really scream legitimate to some people. Dunno, just my two cents :)

Hi there! Some products aren't necessarily viable. The price that someone will pay however is directly related to the way you market the product and to the brand affinity you can create for your offer. It was freely spoken about the fact his store only markets fashion and accessories, and any revenue has come from that. Perhaps this interview should have focused on what he knew, had encountered, and overcome in personal experiences (without giving away his specific products), rather than taking a guess at random items he has no knowledge in? Im aware that he switched items in his store, but ultimately they were in the same fashion area, and I would have preferred to learn how he got better at what he actually did and does, rather than guessing about these items. We see that every single person who appears on this channel is trying to sell us courses on "how to make money by dropshipping" so in the end thees are not honest interviews but simple advertisement of thees "how to make money" course sellers, personaly for me, oberlo starts to loose trust because of thees fact. If you tell thees guy made "two hundert billion dollars in 5 minutes" how do we, you, know that this is the true? And it a real person and not another "I will tech you how to make a million just for 1000$" guy. How do you check them if at all?
@Oberlo5 жыл бұрын
Hey there! I can appreciate your skepticism. I suppose I'd answer this by saying that these people who make this type of money work extremely hard to do so. And we're lucky they're vocal and are sharing their insights with our audience. The fact is, most people struggle to find this type of success -- it's not easy. We're not claiming that it is easy, we're showcasing these merchants to show you that it is possible if you have the resolve to learn the business and stick with it through the inevitable failures. The reason you cannot prove the income from these merchants is the same reason you can't go down the street and ask a local business owner to prove their revenue -- they're private people with private businesses. Oberlo benefits when merchants build successful and sustainable businesses. Our starter plan is absolutely free! So we truly don't benefit unless you're able to scale your business, which is why we create so much content to help you succeed. Hope that helps! -Jessica 🙂

Oberlo but no explaination on why all of these guys have courses? We are really losing trust on Oberlo. These guys are another 'make money by teaching people how to make money'. And they got a pretty great counter argument. Diversification. You're telling me you made a passive income to automate everything in dropshipping business to work hard 4-7 hours on providing knowledge on courses, then answering questions and trying to get sales for courses? You want me to believe it? From next time show us a screen recording video of opening shopify homepage then clicking analytics button and then showing the revenue cause anyone can Photoshop and it's even possible to use inspect element of Google Chrome to change value of data and screen record unless you go to home page and then come back to analytice page which refreshes the data.

@@Winterschant I don't hold it against them for monetizing it. I'd do the same if I felt my business model might be under pressure and needed to generate income. Dropshipping from China advertising on FB is like walking through Walmart these days. I billion products put in front of your face that you could care less about. Walk past them, scroll past them but in the case of FB you get charged when someone scrolls past the ad. I hope to make money doing it and I hope others do as well but the competition isn't to make it any easier.

Yep, it's definitely not easy especially when people are seeing the same products with the same descriptions and videos. If you want to see results in this game nowadays, I'd say you would have to do something everyone's NOT doing and be one step ahead of the game

@@Winterschant Bs, "dropshipping is the product now" If you think you can make a living dropshipping, sorry you're the product nowadays. Why is Mark Zuckerberg not selling courses how to build social media platforms or private mentorships? lol. ""As the Education industry is more lucrative""

He can if he wanted to :) If you look at the big social media influencers like Dan Lok, Grant Cardone, Gary Vee or Tai Lopez, selling digital courses is part of their income stream. You can practice what you preach and simultaneously be teaching other people to do what you're doing. But hey, at the end of the day it's how you want to interpret it

Dropshipping ain't easy, and it never was. The guy who created Gymshark (THAT Gymshark) started off as a dropshipper back in 2012. It took him two months to get his 1st sale. The guy would literally order his clothes from AliExpress, *sow* his logo onto them, then MANUALLY ship the products to what little customers he had at the time via post office. And you ignorant fools are complaining? "omg they're scammers!" "everyone knows about dropshipping" "they're just trying to sell us courses" I am a computer science major, and have been a "techie" since my mom introduced me to Dial-up and Mavis Beacon typing back in the late 90s. I only found out about dropshipping in FEBRUARY of this year. Get the *fuck* over yourselves, stop bitching at people who are genuinely trying to help (why would Oberlo, an international, multi-million dollar company who's been at this game for years, try to scam you? Or invite people onto their show to try to scam you?) and do the work if you want to succeed.

Hey man, I appreciate your support and what you said is all true! I never claimed any of this was easy. In fact, it can get tough as hell

And hey, you know what? If dropshipping is dead, why don't you guys (those who keep saying/complaining that it is) bring it back to life, eh?
