I'd just like to say thank you for explaining this. I've spoken to two different doctor who couldn't or wouldn't do this and only talked about surgery. I've been PTing my shoulder with GREAT improvement, but I didn't fully understand the whats, hows, and whys until you brought it all together. Thanks.

Could you recommend any specific exercises for healing supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendinosis? Exercises that would help to re-align the collagen and strengthen up the tissue? Thank you.

I have been dealing with this issue since October 2015. I have made a lot of mistakes in my rehabilitation, but I have learned a lot. My latest significant flare-up was on 12-26-16. I am making a lot of progress in my rehabilitation, and I am confident that I will be fully recovered and able to do all of the things I love without injury flare-ups very soon. Best advice I can give is to start seeing and consulting a good quality physical therapist. Also learn as much as you can about the healing process. This guy's channel has a really good video regarding the healing process.

Just was diagnosed with moderate and mild tendinosis in both of the rotator cuff muscles you mentioned.

Awesome video. Just a question though, what is the ouch-gone? Does the ouch refer to the pain when contracting the muscle during the concentric phase?

This is a great model. I've read a lot of studies on this condition and none of them have a concrete explanation for the pain. Cross-linkage and the resulting abnormal movement makes perfect sense. I've had tendinosis for a mere eight weeks and I'm already between the third and fourth diagrams thanks to gentle exercises focused on eccentric exercises.

Is this how it actually is, or what you think it looks like? And how does the tissue get cross-linked in the first place? It's not like tissue gets loaded in random directions?

I am trying to do this process with what seems to be semimembranosus tendonopathy on the medial side of my knee. I am a marathon runner and this pain has prevented me from running well for almost 3 months now. I also have a tendon snapping sensation that occurs in the same area however with knee flexion so I dont know if that is really the problem and it isnt tendonosis at all

I have hade repture in rectus femoris 2 years ago and now i probably have, tendonsosis... it good to use leg extension machine at gym(its eccentric and concentric) ??? Please answer me sir.

Hi! I found these videos very informative; I have tendinosis of the quadriceps tendon above my left knee I did some single leg squats of 10 reps x 10 sets on the bad knee last night and I've already noticed some improvement! (probably because I am young!) I was wondering how long should we wait between doing more sets? i.e; a full 24 hours, 16 hours etc. is it like working a muscle or can I work the tendon more often?

Does this work With Quadriceps tendon Pain right above the knee cap? literally on the top of the knee Do you believe fish oils is useful?

Hi Rob, great video, thanks. I've had quad tendinosis for about a month now. I've been doing weightlifting through it. How long will the deloading and healing process take roughly? I've head 3-4 months is the usual time, which sounds awful! Also, after the healing, do you just slowly progressively load it to get back up to where you are? I worry that I'll be impatient and rush it, causing the problem again. How long do you have to wait to go back up to near maximum exertion, and how do you do that without causing problems?

@@ashuraya2779 I fixed it! I got frustrated and had a heavy lifting session and fixed it in one go. Got lucky! Do not recommend doing the same!

@@jamesoconnell30 I have Tendinosis in quad close to the hip... its thicker and has more stiffness... i get pain in hip and somtimes in knee because its as i said thickned, weaker and more stiffness. this Tendinosis i got is because an injury (tear) which i didnt rehab properly... What did you do please tell me...

@@ashuraya2779 I'm sorry, I'm not qualified to give you advice like that. What you said doesn't make sense. As tendons get healthier and stronger, they get stiffer. That's the purpose of them. I don't know how you know if it is thicker unless you had it scanned, and as far as I'm aware again, stronger and healthier tendons become thicker. I think you need a physical examination and professional advice. It sounds like you don't understand what's wrong with it.

+Rob PT I had an MRI back at the beginning of February. It was discovered that I have tendinosis of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus rotator cuff muscles. I went to see a physical therapist through the health care that I have, and she gave me exercises. The exercises included internal/external rotation with a stretchy band, and rowing to strengthen my back. I have been dealing with this injury since October 2015. I keep having set backs with it. I guess I'm going to schedule another physical therapy session with a different therapist.

Rob im 17 years old and had tendinosis for 3 years now in 8 different areas, iv had my blood tested many times and i have perfect bloodwork, i have otherwise a completely healthy body, is there any way i could get your email address or some way to talk to you further on rehabilitation of tendinosis

Go hime i am 18 years old and i have tendinosis in my both biceps for about 3 years, i have still not healed and it has gotten very bad to the point that my arms are soo weak i can barely open a car dor.i am looking forward to stem cell injection products, nothing on the market will work. Taking your own cell that produced type 1 collagen is something Replicel a canadian company does, but they do not have any products yet. please message me back so we can talk about this, its a very very shitty thing to have and i know it on myself
