I'm surprised "Plankton's Pet" wasn't on the list, it's actually one of my favorite episodes (not just Modern Episodes). It actually does something different with Plankton as he gets a pet and interacts with Spot. It's a pretty cute episode with Plankton that doesn't involve the formula.

One of my favorites is New Leaf. Plankton finds a passion other than food and Mr Krabs doesn't believe it, but Plankton is so upset even when Mr Krabs literally tries handing him the formula that Krabs backs off and they become friends And then of course it was all a ruse which was stupid but still. If only Plankton DID reform, then he could be the "science character" instead of Sandy! I also like the Kelp Shake episode where Plankton and Mr Krabs team up to figure out what the deal is with the new Kelp Shake restaurants.

I think it would've been great if this episode came after Planktons Army so it would look like Plankton gave up after he discovered the formula was Plankton. At some point in the episode plankton can be told that the secret formula isn't really plankton and then the switcheroo at the end would make more sense

In a way, Planktons motivation makes sence. Plankton wants what we all want, respect. He is looked down on (In more ways then one) by everyone, while his former best friend gets all the respect and money he could ever want. To add salt to the wound, it was TOGETHER they made the formula that made crabby patties. He just wants to be respected for once but is always foiled.

I always liked the episodes where Plankton interacts with other characters. Like when he gets Squidward to help him make chum edible and they do succeed for a time, it's nice to see them get to be happ,y or when he teams up with Sandy, they have a lot in common and they are shown playing chess in a later episode so they must get along to a point. The one where his grandma goes to the Krusty Krab is interesting, it shows where he gets the evil villain thing from, they must be close. I really want to see him interact with Pearl, which I think happens in a newer episode. Or Karen and Pearl, that would be fun.

What's really great about "Teacher's Pest" is that while Krabs and Plankton are doing the driving test and messing everything up, Spongebob is actually doing GREAT at driving. And that bit when his boat gently taps the other boats, it just resulted in a massive explosion... I just couldn't stop laughing! I definitely consider this to be one of the BEST Modern Spongebob episodes.

I know I’m late, but here are the best 3: Plankton’s Pet: a charming, funny episode where Plankton and SpongeBob have a great dynamic. I think it should have made this list. The Algae’s Always Greener: a fantastic, hilarious episode that tells a great story about how sometimes your dream life can have consequences and that it’s sometimes better to stick with what you have. Honestly, the ending haunts me as Plankton realized that he doesn’t want the like Mr. Krabs has. F.U.N.: a fun episode where we see the good side of Plankton for a bit and the song is just amazing.

Fun fact: A band made the music for the title cards “Plankton!” And “Walking small”. This band is called the surfdusters. Their music plays through “Plankton!”. Such as the scene where Spongebob meets plankton. That’s when the track “Haunted Surf” And their track “El Dementia” Technically plays 6 times (3 times on Tv, it replaces “Mavericks” on the DVD “First 100 episodes” and plays three more times).

Karen 2.0 could've been actually pretty good. And I think it should've been the episode that replaced her old character model with the new one. Basically, Plankton is giving her an upgrade for their anniversary. But in order to complete it, he needs a few parts from her old model. So she gets scared, runs off, episode ensues, and eventually she gets into her new body. Then realizing what Plankton was doing the whole time. That'd be so much better

Fun Fact: "Plankton's Regular" and it's sister episode "Patty Caper" both have Krabs being despicable (The former you just mentioned had Krabs not let Plankton have 1 single customer and the ladder I just mentioned had Krabs frame SpongeBob for stealing his secret ingredient). It's like The Infamous Season 4 pairing ("Driven to Tears" and "Rule of Dumb"). Also both "The Inside Job" and "Someone's in the Kitchen With Sandy" are both sister episodes, both featuring Plankton trying (and failing) to steal the formula. Obviously The Inside Job is better whereas SITKWS was boring and downright cruel to wards Sandy. Very Interesting PhantomStrider, isn't it

I can think of three other good Plankton episodes, decent at least. The one where he falls in love with Mr. Krabs's mother, though he does backstab Karen, was another one where he was finding real happiness and was willing to give up the formula chase, until Krabs reveals that she knows it. Then there's the Chum Caverns episode, where his business is more about the caverns than the food. But another great one is Kelp Juice, where Plankton and Krabs actually team up when another business shows up next door.

11:35 I once read a Spongebob comic that had a similar set up, Karen left Plankton and began working at the Krusty Krab, and she did such a good job that Mr Krabs pretty much fired Spongebob and Squidward. So Spongebob and Squidward teamed up with Plankton and they staged a scene where Squidward dressed up as a robot and tried to flirt with Plankton so Plankton could reject Squidward in an attempt to show his loyalty to Karen. However unlike this episode, Karen wasn't moved at all by the whole gesture and began shooting lasers at Plankton, and the comic ended there, kind of abruptly

If I had to fix One Course Meal, how I'd do it may surprise you. Keep most of it but one: tone down the grossness and two: have more of Pearl herself in the episode, trying to help Plankton get over his fear of whales and try and stop Mr Krabs from stalking him. It could've been such a better episode if we got to see how Pearl reacted to all of it.

Sponge out of water was probably my favourite moment of Plankton. His team dynamics with Spongebob was very wholesome and fun to watch ( he felt like the friend Spongebob deserves) , and the ending when he saved the day, defeated Burgerbeard and took the secret formula, yet decided to give it back to Krabs without any conflict wad really promising. It kinda felt like he finally moved on and it would've been great to see him continue on that path afterwards.

Plankton's voice is one of my favorites to listen to from the show. It luckily doesn't get too much of a higher pitch in later seasons, og plankton's voice was villainous and low and then it would jump to the other characters who heard him all high pitched and squeaky. I love that realism

According to the wiki krabs was born the 1930/40s making him nearly/over 80 years old and he andplankton grew up together making him around the same age, therefore the fact that his great grandma is still alive is astounding

I actually kinda liked Plankton's Regular. While I do agree with what you said, it was just one of those episodes were I simply didn't feel like changing the channel, like a lot of the "bad" episodes. It was just... comfortable to sit through, is all. There are a few "bad" episodes like this, like The Splinter, Slide Whistle Stooges, or To Love a Patty (yep, even the singing part).

Plankton is my most favorite character of all. Mainly because he's the main villian of the whole show, and the way I see it, in any show you watch the villian is like the glue that holds the show together. My favorite episode of all is "plankton!" From season 1. Mainly because that was Plankton's big debut episode.

I'm guessing that in "Plankton's Regular", Mr. Krabs doesn't want Plankton to have any customers because of the following reason(s): When Krabs hears Plankton has an actual customer, he worries that this is just a small step from getting more customers until everyone in Bikini Bottom and literally the entire ocean comes to the Chum Bucket (Okay, maybe not the entire ocean), leaving Krabs permanently out of business. Other than that, I'm pretty sure Krabs knows what chum is made of (as proved in "The Hankering") and doesn't what every fish in town to be eating their own kind.
