I think the whole nightwing and penguin thing is more or less and indirect kind of thing with penguin transporting the weapons affecting bludhaven as well, so him breaking out would re create the weapon selling

Being that they're using characters from comics, It's all about archetypes, totems, foils, etc. Penguin is the second most famous Gotham City villain, and (obviously) he's bird-themed. Nightwing was the original Robin, a faithful sidekick. It's only natural if writers create a rivalry between a couple of second-fiddle, bird-themed characters. That being said, though, I gotta ask what these commentators are talking about. So Nightwing tracks the Penguin's gun-running operation, then later monitors the feathered fiend's activities behind bars. So what? He'd do that with any villainous case he caught. Contrariwise, the penguin would moan and jeer at any busybody vigilante he doesn't consider his equal. And I don't recall these two characters saying word one about each other in Arkham City. So what rivalry are we actually analyzing, here?

GCPD Lockdown introduced the Remote Electric Charge to his arsenal, Nightwing as a separate character in challenge maps (he's only playable in a dual-play map) and two additional challenge maps ripped from the two areas of DLC. In that dual-play map from vanilla, Nightwing doesn't have his REC Flip of a Coin also introduced challenge maps ripped from the DLC, as well as the Catwoman DLC.

I don't think the "Dem Bones" one is completely fair. All of Arkham Asylum's DLC was 100% free. And the Dem Bones add-on was just a pre-order early-access anyway. For a completely free combat challenge, it was just fine.

One thing I’m thankful for in regards to GCPD lockdown is the large-ass police department predator map. It’s maybe my favourite predator map in AK, and one of my favourite in the entire series.

I really loved Harley Quinn’s DLC from Arkham Knight. True it could’ve been longer, but it was fun murdering the cops and kicking Nightwing’s ass. The AK DLC packs are like $2 each now btw

Nate Dean That’s a better deal because I paid $20 for the Return to Arkham pack which was only Asylum and City. It also included the playable Joker and the armored Batman challenges for Asylum. City only gave me Harley Quinn’s Revenge which was very fun but still I would’ve got yours. Then again I wouldn’t because I already have Arkham Knight lol

Nate Dean yeah I hopped on the original Return to Arkham right away for 60 bucks, but I’d say it was worth it. I wouldn’t want to wait a year plus for these old games, especially if they still refuse to put Arkham Origins in it.

Really surprised Batmobile skins aren't on this list, considering some of those don't have tank mode, which is necessary for like, half of the game. Really that's probably why they put so much into races since that's the only place you can use them.

The Waynetech Racetracks are really good surprisingly b/c they teach you how to drive properly with the weird handling in this game (i.e. tighter cornering)

The best thing to come out of the racetracks is the 1960's Batman model standing next to the 1960's Batmobile model. Because of this, modders were able to give PC players the otherwise PS4 exclusive 1960's Batsuit.

I do like that the nightwing dlc is the day after, which means it’s one of the furthest in the timeline thing you can play (with the other knight dlcs) and it was during an all new time of day with a cool layout of GCPD.

I don't think that "nobody asked for this" is a valid criticism. I didn't care for the racetracks either; they are the single most frustrating challenges in any Arkham game. However, fan expectations/wants shouldn't have any bearing on how a game is designed. We see this a lot in the movie industry: when movies start to cater towards fan's demands, the quality always takes a hit. There are a lot of people who love the races! I am not one of them, but I'm glad they're there!

The racetracks became necessary dlc additions the moment they decided not to include battle mode in the Batmobile skins. No matter how much you love any of the skins, they just aren't viable in the main game because of that, locking you out of most of the missions. So to give you something to do with them they added racetracks, and not just any racetracks, but ones lovingly crafted which pay great homage to their respective movies. And as far as I'm concerned, it's the next best thing.

Have you heard the theory where Jason died in the asylum by joker secretly but when ras al ghul gets out of the mint morgue place with his foot sticking out he felt bad for batman and even Jason so he resurrected him and sometimes the Lazarus pit makes people full of fear or anger which makes sense why Jason is so mad at batman and he was forced to hate batman by joker so the Lazarus effect also explains why he abandoned the original plan with scarecrow to kill batman ( my fingers are tired

The one that should have been Nightwings enemy in AK is Deathstroke. Seeing how in the comics Deathstroke is mainly a Nightwing villain. I know Deathstroke also has fought Batman several times in the comics. So switching one of Batmans enemies to Nightwings was strange. Unless they were enemies in the comics for the last 22 years. Idk because I haven't read the comics in all that time. To me it felt off like their rivalry was forced.

I just think their designs and how they show up in Arkham games are really awesome especially the bridge boss fight with firefly and the sewer section with croc in asylum the only time I was I was scared playing as Batman. I feel like if they took GCPD lockdown and took out nightwing and put in someone like blue beetle which his move set would work. It would have his blasters as sort of a ranged weapon like Jason’s duel handguns and made the map more combat focus than predator focus the dialogue would be still annoying but it would make more sense since he’s a less serious hero than all of the bat family who aren’t usually telling jokes.
